Clinton is a workhorse, you gotta give her that.  Who are numbers 2 and 4?

so four of the top five in missed votes were candidates for president this year

and the fifth is from SD, was likely kept away from D.C. by traffic jams at home

Yet another reason that presidential candidates, while actively campaigning, should resign from their current post and stop drawing a salary.  If you're not doing the job, you shouldn't be getting paid.

half of America and 90% of white collar office dwelling America would be out of work under this radical idea

QuoteI actually like how he admits that he does not know about it, instead of a stupid round about answer.

Agreed....

Can you imagine if Obama instead pulled something out of his ass like "Well, yes, the Hanford site is important because it's nuclear and important things need to be seriously considered."

phillymic2000

Yeah Obama isn't even the President yet and he's jumping right on board with bush:

to nitpick barry a little bit i would have liked his answer better had he not tooted his own horn by prefacing his answer with "heres something you wont hear politicians say to often"....even tho hes right it would have come off better had he just said im not familiar with the issue but i promise to learn about it

Good point, but he would have come off better to his supporters and worse to his detractors probably.  I can see the commercial now that's a montage of him saying "I don't know" and "I'm not familiar" and shtein.

Rome

LOL - everyone always complains about lying politicians yet the moment one actually tells the truth and admits he's ignorant on an issue, it's time to jump on his nuts about it.

Awsum.

Christ, even phillymic and I are saying it was admirable.  Where's the fire, Romey?

New poll puts Obama 8 points ahead of McCain in general

I think that starting in mid-June or so, McCain has no chance to lead in the polls again.  The Democrats have earned the White House through Bush's ineptitude, and they will probably get it.  The first two years of Clinton's administration were similar, and the "backlash" created a new Republican majority in the House and Senate.  I have a feeling that will happen yet again.

McCain had to sell his soul to the party to get the nomination, and that will be the reason he can't get the win.  All the other factors (like age) are secondary to the fact he's running as the nominee of a party with a horrendously-developed platform that does not reflect the views of nearly enough people.

Borrow from the future and spend on war
v.
Tax everyone from middle class up and spend on bureaucracy and expanded government control

It's fairly easy to see which one better benefits more Americans.  The Republican Party just doesn't get it.

there is no way this country elects a black president. a little race baiting from the right will give ohio and fla to mccain and hell coast.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
