I don't really care enough to argue about it...but I'm not sure what idiot would actually consider Spadaro a legitimate Journalist.  I don't think his mother would even sell him as that.

I wonder how many people actually pay for "Eagles Insider" magazine.

I subscribed to Eagles Digest for one season back in 01 or 02.  And aside from the fact that the content didn't really contain anything I couldn't already read on the website for free, it was really annoying that I would always get my weekly issue on Monday or Tuesday after the game was played.  

I had a subscription in '93, before the bulk of the Internet stuff was available...but I cancelled it because it always came a few days too late.  I can't imagine why anyone would want it these days.

Spadaro is not a journalist and should never refer to himself as one. Even worse, he is not even a remotely talented writer and shouldn't ever have the gall to call out other legitimate journalists.

However, if you are a 'real' journalist, dealing with opposition and naysayers and criticism is part of the deal. Learn to farging deal with it and don't write whine-pieces about douchebags like Spadaro.

no one does....and its why legit journalists would take major offense to him telling them how to do their jobs...ever since spadaro started showing up at eagle pressers and getting mic time theres been simmering tensions btwn the local media and him....

if he just did his fluff stuff on the eagle website that would be one thing but once hes starts trying to portray himself as a real media type and starts opening his mouth and trying to rip and talk down to other people is where he becomes king douche bag...just like on his call in show when he spazzes out on callers who continually criticize the team....i dont care if in his down time he buys easy beers at the local bar the guy comes off like a complete and total dickhead and i mean seperate from his homertastic leanings

As far as his comments about the writers in town, he's right about a lot of them because just as much as it is his job to point out the positive, it's their job to stir up controversy and focus on the negative.  That's what newspaper hacks do best because controversy sells papers.

actually thats a misconception. newspapers sell a lot better the day after an eagles win than a loss. generally when things are bad people dont want to read about it, they want to express their anger to cataldi and eskin (two enormous hacks in their own right) on 610. that shtein works for the awful medium known as sports radio, not for newspapers.

yeah theres a huge difference btwn controversy and negativity


reids cracked out kids = higher circulation

mike patterson hitting a bong on the side of the road in blackwood = higher circulation

bob ford ripping the eagles after a loss = lower circulation

Meh...newspaper journalists are extra pissy these days because of the spygate debacle and the knowledge that their industry is on its way out as they know it.

You can sometimes see him in the background when players or coaches get interviewed by the local stations.  He's gotta be at least 400+ and he's got those fat stubby fingers when he holds the tape recorder
