I hope Anthony Morelli goes to a divisional opponent.

Other undrafted players:

Ali Highsmith (LSU LB)
Shannon Tevaga (UCLA OG)
Tommy Blake (TCU DE)
Wallace Gilberry (Alabama DE)
Jeremy Geathers (UNLV DE)
Kyle Wright (Miami QB)
Paul Smith (Tulsa QB)
Yvenson Bernard (Oregon State RB)
Dantrell Savage (Oklahoma State RB)
J Leman (Illinois LB)
Ezra Butler (Nevada LB)
Jo-Lonn Dunbar (Boston College LB)

Not sure why Bowman went undrafted.  He was rated as a late 1st or 2nd before the season...

First confirmed UDFA signing:  Franklin Dunbar (MTSU OT)

ice grillin you

Strengths: Moves fairly well laterally and can seal defenders lined up over outside shoulder. Has excellent size and flashes the ability to sustain blocks once in position. While doesn't get great knee bend in pass sets is big enough to hold ground working against most pull rushes. Extends arms and can ride edge rushers past the pocket.

Weaknesses: Appears lost at times, takes too many false steps and frequently fails to get into sound position. Plays too high, hasn't shown great lower body strength and is going to have problems driving defenders off the ball in short-yardage situations until technique improves. Fails to deliver a violent initial punch, hasn't learned to roll hips into blocks, doesn't play with enough of a mean streak and isn't going to knock many defenders back at the point of attack. Lunges and loses balance too much. Doesn't get great hand placement and opens the door to get flagged for holding penalties. Takes poor angles to linebackers, lacks ideal range and struggles to get into position at the second level. Doesn't show great awareness in pass protection, over commits far too often and has problems adjusting to line stunts as well as blitzes. Flashes the ability to get into pass set quickly but footwork is inconsistent and can get beat around the edge. Appears to wear down at times and may lack ideal endurance. Played at a small school, struggled in 2007 game against LSU and the lower level of competition he faced in college raises concern about his ability to make a successful transition to the NFL.

Overall: Dunbar sat the 2004 season out because of academic issues. He started five of the 11 games he played in during the 2005 season. Dunbar started all 13 games of the 2006 season and all 12 games of the 2007 season at left tackle. There's a lot to like about Dunbar's size and frame but he is clearly a developmental prospect who would have benefited from staying in school another year. In addition, there are concerns about his ability to match up with NFL caliber defenders after playing at such a small school.

I was just about ask about him.

He's got a decent chance of making an NFL Roster I think as special teamer.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

PhillyPhreak54

So we'll trade Greg Lewis to Minny for one of their 16 UDFAs...

He's Billy McMullen with less talent.

hunt

did anyone sign mike czerwien?  he led D-III in sacks with 23 and i'm sure he'd make a fine OLB at 5'8, 225 lbs.
