Meh.  Not sure how I feel about it either way.  How much gas can he really have left in the tank?

I don't think it's so much a matter of gas with Taylor.  The dude is sort of a freak and I think if he wanted to play football until he was 40, he could do so at a relatively high level.  At this point in his life/career though I think it's all about desire to put in the work to prepare to play each Sunday.  How many more years is he going to want to do that?

i agree...late career change of scenery guys dont usually pan out...i can see him having like a 5-6 sack year this year then being released next year

i do not see the eagles trading for him simply because they WANT to start abimari even if he is not ready.

but as a fan worried about the lack of pass rush i would love this move. who cares if he gets 6 sacks only. with cole getting around 8-10 and taylor getting 6 thats pretty good production.

a 3rd round pick for taylor would be awesome. better than anyone they would pick in that round.

well he can ride shotgun in McNabb's F150 out the door then because it's a make or break year regardless

juqua thomas had five sacks last year and you dont have to give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him

That sounds like a question posed last year this time about the Giants

Im playing in the minds of the Eagles. Only if they obtain a stud WR. Then yes...they have a shot.

If not..no

Seeing that Dallas gets better each year, the Giants will be better and the Skins just got worse....the Eagles have wild card written all over them--from there they "might" be able to pull a Giants run.

SD_Eagle5

People point to the Giants but fail to realize runs like that happen only once or maybe twice every 20 years.

Not really.

The Bucs, Ravens, and 2001 Patriots all were not considered powerhouses and had plenty of deficiencies, but they peaked at the right time like last year's Giants.

There are a lot more too.  Winning the Super Bowl is as much about timing and lucky breaks as it is getting a team in place that has a shot in hell of being in that position.

all of those teams were much more highly thought of than the giants...shtein the giants won the superbowl and people still hate on them...thats how far they came

It's happened twice in the last three years. The Steelers were 7-5 before they ran the table in eight straight games.

True about the Ravens and Bucs, but the 2001 Patriots were considered at least as much of a joke as the current Giants. There were stories all over the place about how they were the worst Super Bowl winner of all time. Obviously they've since proven that false, but no one was shocked when they didn't make it into the playoffs in 2002.

Magical_Retard

if they add a playmaker WR  (williams, boldin, or ocho cinco) to this current roster they do have a chance. the defense should be better than it was last season just by generating a few more turnovers. the offense would be the real question mark but if you add a stud WR and McNabb stays healthy they def have a chance to make the playoffs and advance to the superbowl.

All 4 of those teams (including the Giants) had one thing in common.......excellent defenses that had the ability to get in the QB's face.
