with the exception of evans & willie green, the sixers didn't even play particularly well yesterday.  it's amazing that they won that game.

team basketball!

You're like IGY with the Eagles/Philies/Flyers...only with the Sixers.

Only in Philly would 99% of the iceholes who "root" for their teams whine and bitch the day after a huge playoff win on the road. They won. Who farging cares how they did it.

They were down FIFTEEN points to the Pistons ON THE ROAD and came back and won.

Evans and Green weren't the only ones who did that.  ::)

No, I'm not blowing sunshine and rainbows here IGY, but wtf?

HUGE win and all I see is, "Pistons win the next 4"..."they all played like shtein but Evans and Green".

What they did last night was awesome and all I see is whiny bitches complaining about how they did it.

Find me where I said they played great?

I said it was a GREAT WIN. HUGE win. Improbable win.

You don't play like utter shtein and come back from 15 points down.

Nice win from the Sixers.  Yesterday's game was the first Sixers game I watched from start to finish in forever.  I thought they played very well against a very good Pistons team especially in the second half.  Not sure why anyone is complaining here, actually.

the point is that before the game if someone had predicted that the sixers were gonna win youd have to assume they played almost a perfect game....they didnt and still got it done...its definitely worthy of discussion and i dont think anyone said they played like shtein

who the hell is complaining?  they didn't play well and still won.  that's a good thing.
if they can pick it up & start playing like they did the past couple months, they have a real shot at winning the series.

The Pistons are clearly the better team, though, so any win, no matter how it came about should be celebrated rather than analyzed to death.  That's all I'm saying and without speaking for PG, I think that's what she's saying too.

Whatever, though.  Still a nice win and I hope the Sixers keep beating the Pistons to death.

Half kidding, half serious, indeed.  I still think the Pistons will win the series and I also think that Detroit had a serious wake up call last night and will respond well in game 2, which will probably carry them through the rest of the series.  Maybe the Sixers manage to steal a 2nd game at home.  But when Detroit is playing at the top of their game, the Sixers can't keep up.  I'm not saying that to knock the Sixers but they simply aren't at that level yet.

incorrect...the sixers have a good chance to win this series and i expect nothing less...so excuse me if i analyze it from the perspective of them playing better in the coming games and egads! actually winning some of them

The Sixers have a good shot in this series because they get out there on the fast break, they did well with that in the first half they just couldn't convert on their layups. Detroit is a veteran club and play a slower game especially on defense. That said, Rasheed owned Sammy bigtime in the first half - what was especially hilarious about that is how Sammy was bragging on the pregame show how he shut sheed down the first time they met in the playoffs. Detroit had way too many offensive rebounds, iggy didn't play well...I don't care what his final stat line says. Andre Miller was very average in the first half. The Sixers can play better. Detroits been around the block and I expect them to easily handle the Sixers the next game. The way the Sixers respond at home will determine what they do for the rest of the series. I said Sixers in 6 before the game because I'm optimistic, the Sixers have shown in the regular season they can hang with Detroit, and I think having a veteran point guard like Miller with a bunch of athletic guys who can get out there on the fast break is kryptonite to Detroits defense.

this is the most fun team to watch in the nba right now.

ice grillin you

the key to yesterdays game is the sixers as the youngest team in the league had the highest level of on the job training you can get and they won...now im not saying that elevates them to the level of detroit as far as being thru the nba playoff rigors but damn if they didnt grow up a lot yesterday...

a lot of the nerves are now gone...and its more about who plays the hardest and executes the best...im with sd in that i think the sixers get run out of the building in game two....but they will come back and win at least one at home
