Like I said, that view is definitely homerism...but Jaws does his research and probably honestly thinks, Eagle or not, that Kolb has a shot at being a sold NFL QB, homerism aside.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

ice grillin you

he didnt say he had a shot at being a solid qb...he said its good that the eagles have a good qb behind mcnabb
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

Jaws saying that is beyond assinine, no matter how much film he watched on Kolb. Kolb has yet to see full defensive designs by opposing teams, blitz schemes, etc.

Thats just like saying if Favre was playing right now, that no matter if Brett gets traded or not,  they have Aaron Rodgers as a solid replacement just by seeing college film and pre-season games. Im not saying Kolb wont be good, but Jaws is basing that statement entirely on the fact that he was drafted in the 1st rd by the eagles and college tape...which should raise more flags because the Eagles dont have the best history of #1 picks

MadMarchHare

At least Rodgers has played half a game in the regular season.  Kolb hasn't even done that.
Anyone but Reid.

Lazy eye aside, I'd motorboat the blonde's titties for at least an hour.  And the girl on the right looks like Debra Messing so I'd hit that too.

More off-season noise

It has been nearly a month since the Eagles signed cornerback Asante Samuel, and Lito Sheppard still is on their roster. But don't put too much significance into that.

There still appears to be very little chance that Sheppard, an oft-injured two-time Pro Bowler who is unhappy with his contract, will be an Eagle when the Eagles report to training camp in July.

It's likely right now that the Eagles will wait until draft day to trade Sheppard, possibly using him as a chip in a first-round trade-up move.

The Eagles currently have the 19th overall pick in the first round. There has been speculation that they might try to move up and get one of the draft's top corners, Leodis McKelvin of Troy State.

I'd call that a pretty good off season. Keep the solid, not hurt as often #2 corner in Sheldon, sign the top FA on the market, trade the great but injury prone Sheppard, and draft a young guy as the nickle/future starter. Wouldn't be a bad off-season at all. The only missing piece is of course the stud WR.

The BIGSTUD

lol. Trade Lito and #19 to move up and replace Lito?

Essentially just wasted the 19th pick in the draft. You might as well keep Lito. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

I would hate hate hate hate HATE that scenerio.  As it stands right now, the Eagles spent $56mil to basically upgrade their nickle corner.  Now they're talking about trading a 2 time probowler so that they can draft his replacement?  Rediculous.

Father Demon

Agree with both Cole and Sarge.

It's a stupid argument, and I can't believe it will work out that way.

Wrong. Asante Samuel is his replacement....the first round draft pick is the future.

It might seem like a small upgrade but face it...Lito playing in some of those games he missed last year very well could have made the difference between a win or a loss. Impact corners are a big deal, and it hurts not having your only one for a third of the season. Samuel could have as big, if not a bigger impact in games then Lito did, AND he'll be more likely to play the whole season. There's not many other positions they can upgrade immediately in the first round this year, not STARTING positions anyway, so I have no problem with them taking a young corner to be a future starter.

Where else could they draft in the first round that's going to get more playing time then a nickel corner now or in the near future? Safety and OT. And 85% of this MB has spoken out against taking an OT so we're left with safety and CB. I'd rather them take safety but drafting a CB isn't as asinine as it appears.

Question for anyone draft savvy...can the CB they're talking about return punts?
