i see davis or klecko as the fb

lj celek wilson at te/h back

That's a bold prediction.  Do you also see Brian Westbrook starting at tailback, and Shawn Andrews holding off camp competition for a starting offensive line spot?

not a prediction (ive already done that previously) i was showing ngm how wilson and klecko could both make the team...

try to keep up dookie

You don't need to hand-hold those that can't keep up.  We don't have No Child Left Behind on CF.

Philly Crew

Any chance this means that LJ is leaving?  Has he actually signed the franchise tag offer?
I'm bringing sexy back

I can't imagine they'd franchise LJ, wait almost a month into free agency to pursue his "replacement", and then rescind the offer.  It makes no sense, unless he has reversed his field and is demanding a trade.

I mean really...it's not like that hasn't happened twice before with Corey Simon and Jeramiah Trotter.

Neither of those players was willing to sign the franchise deal.  L.J. is coming off an injury-plagued year and has expressed willingness to sign it up until this point.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

When I saw the signing, two words came to mind:  Cooley envy.
Anyone but Reid.

The Eagles were in love with him the year he was drafted and had him high on their list.

That said, this means Schobel is done.

And it is another good role player to add who can help on STs.

Can't hate the signing too much, he can help them.

sal pal is on wip and is saying that the nfl thursday nite opener has a very good chance of being eagles at giants (the other option is the cowboys)

also the game will have a 7pm kickoff as that is the night that john mccain will officially be nominated at the convention

QuotetaterskinS-GIANTS WILL START THE SEASON
Posted by Mike Florio on March 26, 2008, 6:33 p.m.

Continuing with a tradition that dates all the way back to 2004, the defending Super Bowl champions will host the Thursday night regular-season opener.  For the first time, however, the champs will play a division rival.

According to Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post, the taterskins will visit the New York Giants to start the season.

The game typically begins at 8:30 p.m. EDT, but likely will be moved to 7:00 p.m. EDT to avoid a conflict with the final night of the Republican National Convention, which will feature the formal nomination acceptance speech from Senator John McCain.

It's the second time that the 'Skins and the Giants will be involved in the Thursday night opener.  New York hosted the first such game in 2002, against the 49ers.  The next year, the taterskins played the Jets.

Beginning in 2004, the Super Bowl champs got the home game to start the season.  That year the Colts visited the Pats.  The next season, the Raiders traveled to New England.  In 2006, the Steelers hosted the Dolphins.  Last year, the Saints visited Indianapolis.

SunMo

they have 3 choices to play the Giants on opening night as far as division rivals go....and they pick the 3rd best option.

genius!
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Conspiracy theory:

What team in the NFC East is the reigning (New York) Super Bowl champ most likely to kick the shtein out of on national TV?
