Rome

The episode before last week's was the best of the series.  It perfectly captured what the series could and should have been.

Rome

Anyone get Retro Television Network?  There's a ton of good shows from the 60's-80's on it like Hawaii Five-O, Streets of San Francisco, Cannon, etc.  Watching Streets of San Francisco right now and Leslie Nielson is the guest star.  He's even funnier when he plays things straight.

Rome

No, it's RTN and it's on my HDTV cable package.  The funny thing is nothing is broadcast in HD because all the shows were filmed 30-40 years ago.

Wingspan

That is hysterical.

Hey TV dude...

Is The Mole coming back to TV?  I've seen a few 1 or 2 second splashes that just say The Mole with a fingerprint behind it.  Is it the same show / same format as it was before?  Didn't they cancel that show before it even finished?
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

MDS

yes itll be the same show and please dont watch it
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I watched the Jericho finale this morning.  Pretty good.  They definitely left it wide open for more to come, though.  And civil war thing would be a good way to go, but how much of the civil war would occur in Kansas, much less a tiny ass town in the middle of nowhere?

Eh - if it was the * end * of the series, they could have done worse.

Seabiscuit36

John Adams was good on sunday, and this weeks looks awesome

i understand they had to do it as his time in france is an important part of his legacy and life (and the book) but that episode sunday was as close to unwatchable as it gets

any of you ever been to hulu.com...i never heard of it until i read an article in a magazine about it this week but supposedly its a pretty cool site with lots of free movies and tv shows both new and old...and you dont need to download or pay for any of them...its a joint venture being backed by nbc and fox

It made me really hate the French more than i did already

SunMo

it made Benny Franks come off as a douche as well
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

thats exactly how he was tho...franklins character was shown well...especially how taken and at home he was in france....he was definitely more of a european than an american unlike adams....frances cultural and morally casual attitudes clashed with adams puritan ways..while franklin was very much liberal and out there...he also btw was a horrible husband and father who basically abandoned his family

if the series interests any of you i highly recommend the book...its an incredible read if youre into history

i was hoping adams would bang that blonde from dinner.  Franklin was a pimp, telling Adams to learn the language by getting a mistress.  shtein, at those times i'd partake.
