You'd take an owner who essentially fired a coach for winning two superbowls and will step ahead of his football guys to draft Quincy Carter and Chad Hutchinson?

Even worse, he didn't draft Hutchinson...he signed him out of baseball to a fat deal. And then he did the same with Drew Henson.

And hired Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey and Dave Campo (who he kept in position for several years despite him being Kotiteish on many levels). And when he hires Parcells the relationship goes sour because Jerrah is no longer in the spotlight, which is why he fired Jimmy.

Let's see how that team does now that Parcells isn't drafting for ol' Jerrah.

Rocky Boiman in for a visit.  I think he would be a good veteran LB.  Can play all three LB positions and good on ST.

well, our teams should be better, although i'm not sure if the tightening up towards the end of the year were the players coaching themselves or seacrest.  'cause if it was the players coaching themselves, we may be likely to see a repeat early next season.

i'd love love love for us to get a stud wr (for obvious reasons).  it'd also be funny to force jerry jones (in his mind) into a move for a cb that would now make the addition of pac-man "justifiable".  that'd be awesome to have him and t.o. blow up the locker room from the inside out.
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

Tight End Kris Wilson from the Chiefs is visiting today.

Edited - here's his Bio from Chiefs.com:

QuoteSure-handed tight end enters his fourth season with Kansas City ... Is an excellent receiving target who continues to improve his skills as a blocker ... Versatile all-around offensive threat has the ability to present match-up problems for opposing defenses ... Can line up virtually anywhere on the field, including tight end, wide receiver, H-back and fullback ... Added fullback to his arsenal a year ago when he took over the duties at that position after a season-ending injury to FB Ronnie Cruz ... Saw action at that spot in the final 11 games of the 2006 campaign, starting 10 of those contests ... Quickly developed a chemistry with RB Larry Johnson, allowing the two-time Pro Bowler to gain 1,432 rushing yards over those final 11 contests ... Works behind seven-time Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez, giving the Chiefs a lethal receiving combination when he pairs with Gonzalez in two-TE formations ... Has become an emerging threat in the Red Zone, scoring three TDs a year ago, while adding a two-point conversion in the playoffs ... Has frequently displayed his penchant for producing acrobatic catches in practice during his first three seasons with the Chiefs ... Also has been a contributor for the club on special teams ... Enjoyed his first completely healthy season in 2006 and showed flashes of his abilities ... Played in 14 contests in 2005 before he was sidelined for the final two games of the season with a right quad injury ... Showed glimpses of his exciting potential in 2005 after bouncing back from a broken left fibula that cost him the majority of his rookie campaign in 2004 ... Suffered that injury in the club's final preseason contest at Dallas (9/2/04) ... Had surgery to repair the bone on September 3rd of that year and missed the first 12 games of the season with that malady ... Returned to play in the final three games of 2004 ... Has played in 33 games (11 starts), catching 18 passes for 165 yards (9.2 avg.) with three TDs ... Also has one carry for six yards and nine special teams tackles.

Tight End Kris Wilson from the Chiefs is visiting today.

Offensive WEAPONRY!

But seriously, he's a guy that can block and contribute on special teams.  He's an upgrade at the TE/FB/H-Back position over Schobel for certain and likely Celek.  It would be a solid addition.

Rome

I wouldn't know this guy if he bumped into me at a supermarket but he did spend the past four years backing up Tony Gonzalez so it's not exactly a shock that he never became a starter.

ice grillin you

i remember reading about him at the start of free agnecy where a couple of sites had him as a sleeper free agent pass catching TE...mel kipers free agent report had a nice write up on him as well

apparently his blocking is abominable

espn insider take

Wilson is a four-year veteran who has been moved from tight end to a fullback/H-back role by the Chiefs to take advantage of his physical dimensions. He isn't a runner, but he is coming off a career year as a receiver. He has a good catching radius and soft, natural hands. He will go get balls thrown outside his frame. He could have been labeled a bust and faded away after failing to live up to his second-round draft status, but he has accepted his new role and seems willing to help the team however possible. He is just an adequate isolation blocker and isn't the sort of fullback who will unload on a defender or roll his hips into blocks. And he lacks the agility and body control to adjust to sustain his blocks. Wilson has the physical tools to improve over time, but his blocking needs a lot of work.

Grade - 57

50-59: Good Backup
This is a player who is really on the bubble and only starts because of a deficiency at the position. ... He lacks complete overall skills, and although he will battle, he will hinder his team's ability to play at a championship level if he is forced to be in the starting lineup consistently over a 16-game season. Teams don't mind having him on the roster but are always looking to upgrade.

and for shteins and giggles a draft preview of him when he came out of college...

BIO: Second team all-conference selection last season after receiving numbers of 44/643/9. Junior and sophomore numbers were 18/389/2 and 19/272/2 respectively. All-academic selection three times in his Pittsburgh career.

POSITIVES: Competitive tight end that excels as a pass-catcher. Fluid releasing off the line, sells his routes and gets separation from defenders. In tune with the quarterback, displays a sense of timing and extends to grab the high throw. Displays the ability to make the reception in the secondary. Plays with leverage, balance and works as a blocker. Good focus in all aspects of the game.

NEGATIVES: Not explosive into blocks, lacks strength at the point of attack and has difficulty taking out defenders. Lacks foot speed and does not out run opponents.

ANALYSIS: Wilson has done a terrific job maximizing all his skills and did so while going unnoticed. Put in a consistent week at the Senior Bowl then performed well at the Combine to improve his stock. May never be a first-string tight end but a pass-catcher brought onto the field during third down or red-zone situations.

PROJECTION: Mid Third Round
