its not about the freakin the pastor for crying out loud, it's about the lack of judgement, honesty, smarts or ignorance Obama has, to put someone like that as a spiritual mentor, head pastor, married him, baptized his kids, was a campaign advisor etc. Was any of the white nut jobs that to macain?

PoopyfaceMcGee

I see there are some people who still have hope on convincing IGY that something he's previously analyzed to be a racist issue is actually not.

Good luck with that.

its about a double standard...i gave you numerous examples...from christians being friends with hatemongers to actually having them in the white house...the whole gamut...youve chosen to ignore all that rather than admit the obviousness of the double standard...it makes me wonder why

The Republicans are saying that Obama is not fit to lead because he is a fundie?

:boom

I'm not surprised that the Republicans will stoop to anything, I'm just depressed that their constituents are so willing to lap it all up.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I watched a speech by Adolf Hitler once.  Clearly I should be held accountable for what Hitler said despite the fact that I disagreed with it and wasn't even born when he said it.

I think IGY will be catatonic for 3 days if Obama gets elected.

:o Obama good at a prepared speach, who would of thunk it.

the wheels on the bus go round and round, dook, or whatever I should call you, I am not defending what bush or mccain or bush did, I actually sadi McCain was ripped for it and bush was pounded into an appology for going to the universities. read it again if you have to.

The double standard is bs for this reason, and it is something you have ignored in every one of my responses and i wonder why mccain never had fawell, hagee, or any other nut job right wing pastor as a head pastor, spiritual mentor, married him, baptized his kids, blessed his home and was an advisor for his campaign. But maybe you caqn bring up one of Nixon's speaches at somecrazy university to continue to ignore my concern.

LOL at you thinking he's sunk over this. If all his sheeple keep on plodding along and he gets elected, what will you say then? will america, or as his mento says the KKKA still be racist?

mccain is openly supporting falwell and accepting his support as well as hagee...well see if he does a 180 on robertson...i suspect he will...

Just to clear it in my own mind - Falwell is still dead, right?

Give it a farging rest already.  ::)

The way his approached it, the way he addressed EVERYthing head on....those are the reasons the speech was amazing.

If you can't see that, you're a complete moron. Even other REPUBLICANS believe the speech was done perfect and he did it the right way.

holy cripes I haven't even read the whole speach yet. Relax already, sorry I offended your golden child

PoopyfaceMcGee

Obama presents a view of race very similar to mine and very dissimilar from some that perceive their position to be more thoughtful and more politically correct.

Whether he actually believes what he says is another matter entirely, but that is a hell of a speech.
