Stevens needs to go. This team just doesn't give a shtein. His lines and matchups suck too.

when this team traded and signed for all those players last year i tried to tell everyone that the most you can hope for is that one or two of them work out...and thats pretty much how it is...coburn is the real deal everyone else is garbage....downie too...get off his dick...the fact that this team is locked into briere for the next five years is enough to make me sick...

i was talking to sun during the game today and the main problem with this team is that their first line is essentially the same as their fourth line...they have no studs...its embarrassing...and lol at blaming stevens as if hockey coaches have any effect on their teams...hockey more than any other sport is all about the players and the flyers unfortunately dont have any talent

I know in your fantasy land of building an NHL team guys like Ovechkin/Crosby and Malkin are just there for the taking, in the real world Holmgren had to deal with the mess Clarke left him. No one is saying they're the most talented team in the NHL, but there is certainly enough talent to make the playoffs. For crying out loud they have 7 guys who will wind up with 25-30 goals. (Briere, Lupul, Richards, Carter, Knuble, Prospal, Hartnell). That kind of depth doesn't exist on other teams. The lines Stevens marches out there and his matchups are dreadful. Its obvious no one on the team respects him, because they've all given up despite being in the thick of things.

id rather have one 50 goal guy and two 25 goal guys than seven 20 goal scorers

Like I said, there's more than enough talent on this team to make the playoffs. Just 1 month ago they were near the top of the Eastern Conference. Why were they so competitive then and now they're sucking ass? I'll give partial blame to injuries, the rest goes on the shoulders of the coach.

they need to purge all the muckers and replace them with some real talent...im not even talking ovechkin talent but some people that can create...when danny briere is your version of skill youre in trouble...
