Boldin is a stud. Give me Boldin now! Less dough and still number 1 talent. Guys never had a good QB throwing him the ball and he's still put up big numbers. Tough as nails, will catch in traffic and is hard to bring down too. One of the most underrated players in NFL

I get dibs on the next random player who isnt going to be cut or traded to be slobbered over...only to be pissed that the birds didnt force them to accept lito sheppard in a trade for.

Tomorrow's target is Marques Colston, if the eagles dont trade for him by 2 pm thursday, then we get pissed!

Why would arizona give up Boldin?

Because his numbers have been just as good, and in some cases, better then Fitzgeralds. The thinking is now that Fitz got all that money, Boldin's gonna get pissed that he didn't get his payday and ask for a trade.

I farging hope so.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Quote from: SunMo on March 11, 2008, 09:49:36 PMsupposedly Schefter said on NFL network they were looking at Klecko for FB?
haha

I'm open to the idea...he's an athlete and a football player both...the Patriots used him all over the place to good effect.  He's not going to be a star anywhere but what the hell, maybe...can he be worse than Jason Davis?

Quote from: FastFreddie on March 11, 2008, 10:23:47 PMI honestly didn't know if Klecko played OL or DL.

Both...the Patriots moved him around all over the place.  If the Eagles take him on he could play FB at times..especially goal line rushes (Reid being so fond of that call), but he could also be a real boon to special teams...

I'd be happy with the move if the Eagles sign him

from his wiki bio:

QuoteHe was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round (117th pick overall) in the 2003 Draft. Klecko has been a versatile player; he graduated from Marlboro High School, and then Temple University as an accomplished defensive lineman but was moved to linebacker in the summer of 2004.[1] He has seen time on special teams, and in his rookie season was a blocking fullback of five of the Patriots' nine running touchdowns.

...

Klecko was cut by the Patriots after the 2006 pre-season, and claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts.

With the Colts, he occasionally filled in for the injured James Mungro as fullback during the 2006 season. Dan scored his first career touchdown on a 2nd and goal 4-yard pass from Peyton Manning against the Miami Dolphins on December 31st, 2006.

He also caught a touchdown against the New England Patriots, his former team, to tie the game in the 3rd quarter of the 2006 AFC Championship game. The Colts went on to win that game. They advanced to and won Super Bowl XLI in Miami, FL.

"Spadaro Analysis"

My sense is that if Young were called on to play for a sustained period of time, he would do a good job at either guard position. Relatively new to the offensive line position entering the NFL, Young has come along well for the Eagles. He seems to have been bypassed by Max Jean-Gilles on the depth chart, and he will likely have competition in training camp to make the team, but Young is making strides.

Good enough to play for an extended period of time, but could have trouble making the team... nuyce.

It takes talent to imply that a guy would make a reliable starter while at the same time suggesting that he sucks and has a battle on his hands just to make the squad.

Impressive.

SunMo

that's his way of saying the Eagles are super DOOPER stacked on the offensive line.  a guy that could fill in for a few games might not even make the team!

Super. Bowl. ourz.

QuoteBrian Westbrook caught 90 passes and Kevin Curtis had 1,110 receiving yards in 2007. Looking back at the Super Bowl winners this decade, those numbers are above average:

2007 - Plaxico Burress, Giants, 70 rec., 1,025 yards
2006 - Marvin Harrison, Colts, 95 rec., 1,366 yards
2005 - Hines Ward, Steelers, 69 rec., 975 yards
2004 - David Givens, Patriots, 56 rec., 874 yards
2003 - Deion Branch, Patriots, 57 rec., 803 yards
2002 - Keyshawn Johnson, Bucs, 76 rec., 1,088 yards
2001 - Troy Brown, Patriots, 101 rec., 1,199 yards
2000 - Shannon Sharpe, Ravens, 67 rec., 810 yards

lol...were Westbrook and Curtis fused together in some sort of bizarre nuclear experiment?
