Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I didnt hear it (per philly.com forum), but supposedly Derrick Gunn on 610 last night after he interviewed Joe Banner:

The Eagles got 10 call from other teams asking if Lito was available for a possible trade. As of tonight, they have got 6 trade offers from those teams looking to get Lito. Joe Banner told Derrick Gunn they are looking at two of those teams-offers very seriously and have started negotiations already. They would like to have something done by the end of this weekend!

This should be entertaining.

The only problem I have with this is Banner coming out publicly saying that they are about to trade Lito. I cant see that sitting well, but again I didnt hear it so who the f knows. Anyone catch last nights talk?

ice grillin you

who cares....everyone that knows anything knew 90% lito was gone three weeks ago when he bitched about his deal

that number jumped to 100% when they signed samuel

theres isnt an nfl executive anywhere that doesnt know the position the eagles are in

oh that tricky Banner.....because its not like the Eagles at all to speak about their players.

I almost feel like the Eagles put themselves into a predicament here thinking Lito would be swiped by now and something maybe fell through the cracks with the player they wanted. How could you not have a deal in place already for Lito as soon as you made the deal to sign Asante?

By not doing that, the power shift over to the bidder because the other team knows damn well you have to get rid of him. So now you get less in return. I guess we'll find out Lito's true value when/if a trade happens. Better yet they keep him and he doesn't report to camp

I have to agree with IGY's speculation.  The Eagles FO says absolutely nothing to the press unless:

1) They are required to by the league.
2) They see strategic advantage to saying it.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

I actually made the mistake of listening to WIP for a few seconds this morning because Garry Cobb was on.  Utterly useless.  I honest to God don't know how anyone can listen to those douchebags all screaming at each other, especially that dickhead Cataldi.

Anyway, Cobb offered nothing new.  Shocking, I know.

because you cant force another team to make a deal....and if you wait on samuel hes gone to another team...in other words you have six months to deal lito and about six hours to sign samuel

the power is in the hands of the bidder if there is little interest in the player or if the team is running out of time...neither of which is the case

the eagles clearly talked to teams before FA opened to guage interest in lito and got enough in their minds to warrant signing samuel...at this point they have until september to trade lito...theres no rush and from the beginning i expected it to happen on draft day....its ridiculously early to be painting a picture of the eagles in a bad position here
