Rome

It's the Cardinals, PG.

Anything's possible especially considering the farged up contract situation they find themselves in with him.

I thought the Cardinals said there was no chance in hell that they would deal him?

Leverage.  Same thing's going on in Cincinnati with CJ.

the thing with fitzgerald is if hed gonna go to the eagles and restructure why wouldnt the cardinals just restructure with him...i dont see them losing their best player a year after they moved into that new stadium...i cant believe even the cardinals would do that

It seems like they're a lot of contract issues there.  If you can't re-sign him, why not get something in return.

Plus Rolle is probably moving to safety so it would make sense to go after someone life Lito.

Would they then have Lito on one corner and Rod Hood on the other?

Rome

Lito plus their #2 might get it done.  In all likelihood it would take Lito plus their #1.  It would still be worth it but Reid values #1's more than he does his own offspring (obviously) so I doubt that would ever happen.

I think Andy values exercise and eating healthy more than his kids.

I laughed way to hard at that little quip.

From what I read (if you want me to go Reese on it I can try), the Cardinals FO said there was no way they would move Fitzgerald, but then two days later or so they thought he was asking way too much in a new deal.  Something about Fitzgerald's rookie contract makes it nearly impossible to restructure because the Cards gave him all the power.

the years are off from the two sides. Fitz wants a 4 year deal so he can get paid again when he's 28, and the Cards are offering a 6 year deal for obvious reasons. In order to retain Calvin Pace--which is their other biggest priority, and do anything in free agency as well--Fitz would have to restructure

When its all said and done, Im sure we will all read the headlines "Fitzgerald to be highest paid receiver in Cardinals team history..blah blah" and the deal is met in the middle at 5 years.

Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Munson

I'm probably one of the few people that thinks Boldin is better. Fitz is more athletic obviously but that hasn't stopped Boldin from putting up nearly identical/sometimes better numbers then him.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

They both have their injury problems. Boldin's got the bigger body though. I don't know, I've just always liked Boldin a little bit better.

Not that I wouldn't kill to have the Eagles trade for Fitzgerald. Please.
