If Andrews proves capable at RT, then I guess I can't complain.  I'd rather see him stay inside but it's not like Reid runs the ball enough, or up the gut enough, to warrant cutting Big Kid loose up in there all game long, so if he's good at tackle, I'll keep my mouth shut on the point and bitch about other stupid AR shtein.

Munson

When he's behind guys like Andrews and Faneca, he's a back up.

I'm pretty sure Faneca is old though so MJG would get his shot in a few years regardless. He's a hell of a better 3rd guard then Scott Young.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

and if hes indeed a starter dont spend a trillion dollars on faneca....that have much more pressing concerns than breaking the bank on a 50 year old guard...herremans and mjg fight for the other guard spot in camp...hopefully mjg is an improvement thats why they traded up for him...not so you had to spend money on a FA...if mjg cant beat out herremans then todd will do while they go after a DE/WR/S/CB/LB ect...
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

I would not mind seeing Faneca signed, but not at Hutchinson-type money. He's good, but not that good. I am also a fan of leaving Andrews inside, but I am not as worried about him moving to OT as I was a couple years ago because he has made himself into a stud. He's not a sloppy fatbody any longer.

Ideally they could unload Herremans and have Faneca play LG in 2008. In 2009 he'd move to RG with Andrews moving to RT and MJG playing LG.

PhillyandBCEagles

Andrews is one of the best RGs in the league.  Yes, I'm sure he could move outside and be a good RT, but I don't think he's capable of being an elite level player at that position.  Don't move him.

The LB corps was putrid for years and the FO absolutely refused to address it.  Why would they do so now that it's half-decent??

Vilma's on the block.

Get him. For real.

You dont think something  is odd there Phreak. He is considered one of the better LB's in the league, Pro-Bowl replacement 2nd yr, gets injured for the season and is on the trading block in his 5th year. His base salary was only going to be $1.1 million

Vilma is a 4-3 linebacker, Mangenious likes the 3-4 and has never seen eye to eye with vilma

Schefter's reporting the Eagles tried to restructure Kearse's contract but he declined, so he's expected to be released

Its pretty much what SB said...Vilma in the 3-4 is not a good fit.

But if the Jets are dumb enough to trade him, the Eagles better be smart enough to trade for him. They have some pieces to trade (Herremans, the Jets need OL or draft picks)

Wow...if Vilma is out there and they don't do anything, I'll  :boom
