What about Vilma?
The accepted knowlegde on him is that he is an excellent LB, but he does not fit the 3-4 and Jets will trade him this offseason.

I guess everyone will say that the Eags don't give a damn about LB and will never shell out money or draft pickts for it.

Mike Doss will probably be released by vikes.
Could be a good pick-up at safety, he's only 26 and is reasonably competent.

Brookover says the Eagles won't make an offer to Tapeh.  yay new FB

Tony Hunt would be great if only he could block NFL players.

Much better.  Next time, don't try the "hard" way.  Guys like you need to keep it very basic.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

QuoteRegardless of what happens in free agency and the draft, Banner believes that a third form of self-improvement is gathering steam in the NFL.

"We'll have to see, but there is much more trade conversation going on now than I have ever seen," Banner said. "There are more players that teams are open to moving that have roster bonuses in March. Sometimes you have all those conversations and it doesn't really lead to much activity. But there's definitely more conversation about trades going on at this time than I ever remember, and I think it's likely going to translate.

"We're not going to become baseball. You're not going to see a zillion trades, but I do think you'll see an increase in the number of trades."

I've noticed this over the last several years.  There used to be very few players getting traded in the league.  Mostly just draft picks were being swapped.  Or if a player was dealt, it was usually someone with little experience and the trades pretty much only happened in the offseason.

Now you've got a few starting/starting caliber players being traded every year.  It seems like teams that are looking to rebuild are especially getting involved in the trade market.  Minnesota traded Moss for draft picks and the Raiders did the same.  The Dolphins traded Chambers mid-season which is almost unheard of because football is so much more complex than any other sport that you can't just show up and play.  You gotta learn the playbook.

It's an interesting trend that's been picking up some steam lately.
