We were all tossing around the ridic trades that people would have to offer the Eags to get McNabb.

It made me think, what is McNabb's value in comparison to Derek Anderson?
I would think they would be pretty equal at this point, with McNabb's superior skills outwieghed by his age and injury history.

Anderson was tendered, so he would need a first and third to pry him loose and a new deal.
McNabb would need a new deal naywhere he went b/c of the Cap, and I don't see people offering much more than a first and third for him.

i was looking at his stats the other day and i knew he had a good year for carolina in 2004 but i couldnt believe he had 16 touchdowns that season...unreal

igy I've been saying for years that Mushin Muhammad is the modern-day Art Monk stats-wise... better save a space in Canton for him.

Sgt PSN

You mean Muhammed is going to be the all time leader in receptions when he retires?

The BIGSTUD

Brian Mitchell can run the 40 is better time than Muhammad now.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Some douche with the s/n Taz on KFFL claims he has an Eagles source:
QuoteMy source is telling me Zona is asking for a 1st, 2nd and Todd Heremens for Fitzgerald. The Eagles have offered two number 2's and would be ok with dealing Heremens. They really are not that far off.

Its 100% bullshtein but it got me thinking and I'd be okay with 2 2nds and Herremans for Fitz. MJG can slide into the LG spot, the Eagles are the worst team in the league at picking in the 2nd round so that's a wash.

Diomedes

It would be fine with me to give them 1 2 and Herremans for Fitzgerald..farg it, the Eagles need a bona fide #1.  It's a high price but I just don't see the Eagles landing any player of his caliber, at any position, through the draft, except perhaps by accident.

Asante Samuel, Champ Bailey, Antonio Cromartie, Marcus Trufant, Terence Newman, Dre Bly, Rashean Mathis, Chris McAlister, Ronde Barber & DeAngelo Hall are all at least as good as Lito, if not better.

Nope, disagree... I'd take a healthy Lito over any of those guys I highlighted and even Chris McAllister is borderline cuz of his age.  Lito's definitely a bigger playmaker.

Tom Heckert interviewed about the return game:

" I think the JR and Reno did real well this year"."The most important thing is we have a guy back there that won't fumble the ball". " The running after the catch is great but not really that important".

He even started talking about how Devin Hester fumbles it a lot and how he guesses he makes up for it with his td returns.

Man, he was THAT close to going to Atlanta

More sources that make you think they are really going for this guy. I dont know who Micah Warren is, and how he posted on GCobb's website. They might be friends..who knows. This is his second reporting and another source confirmed in 2 days that the Eagles are pushing real hard for Fitzgerald.
