saw a report on ESPN First Take this morning about the WRs available. dont know who the "analyst" was but he said detroit is more likely shopping around shaun mcdonald and roy williams is not going anywhere.

:(

That's been the news for weeks. The Lions will at least listen to offers for Williams though, which is a lot more than can be said about some of the other #1 guys mentioned in this thread. Of course they would rather keep Williams than McDonald though. Even Matt Millen isn't that retarded.

If you're holding out hope that the Eagles will land any of these elite guys, you're setting yourself up for another disappointing offseason. Expect a #2 guy, and it'll be a pleasant surprise if the unlikely happens and the Eagles pick up a Pro Bowl WR.

If he hadn't missed 14 games over the past three years he might have a point.  Fact is, he's injury prone and even when he's healthy he's not a top-5 cornerback and I in all honesty I don't think he's a top 10 cornerback either.

And by the way... no one put a farging gun to his head and told him to sign his contract.  It's a tired argument that he's outplayed his deal because his deal is what it is.  He knew it when he signed it so he should abide by it.

Ah... so it's posts like this that made the phrase "STFU, Rome" so popular.

Asante Samuel, Champ Bailey, Antonio Cromartie, Marcus Trufant, Terence Newman, Dre Bly, Rashean Mathis, Chris McAlister, Ronde Barber & DeAngelo Hall are all at least as good as Lito, if not better.

ha..very nice. Alot of truth there..all proven pro-bowlers, but I think Sheppard has the edge over Newman

Rome

To be fair I think Lito is a terrific player and great cornerback.  But there are other players in the league who are superior to him simply because they stay on the field for all 16 games.  Like it or not his resiliency is a big question mark and if he's seriously expecting the Eagles to redo his deal, then he should have his head examined.

Everyone get aboard the Mushin Muhammad train.....

I'd take a look at him for sure. Chicago never had a QB to throw to him.

To be fair, two of those guys (Bly and Barber) would be nothing without the cover 2. I don't disagree with you though.

EDIT - yeah, Bly is on Denver now. farg.

Do you see him filling the #1 hole Philly has had since TO went, well, all TO on them?  Muhammad certainly wouldn't be on the bottom of the depth list, but I don't see him as the true #1 this team needs.

To be fair, Barber would be nothing without Donovan McNabb

Muhammed is like 34 or 35 years old.  He can still play and has excellent size and hands but imo, he's kind of like Chris Carter in the last few years of his career only not as good.  Would have been interested in him 4 years ago  but not so much now.  At least, not to be the #1 guy.

ice grillin you

i was looking at his stats the other day and i knew he had a good year for carolina in 2004 but i couldnt believe he had 16 touchdowns that season...unreal

Sgt PSN

Yeah, that was the year that Smith broke his leg I think.

Diomedes

Maybe he'd do alright as a TE for a year to two, especially since they aren't required to block anymore...

he is actually looking to get resigned or has a great interest to Carolina according to reports. Sure would help Steve Smith

Phanatic

Don't know if he'd be a #1 wr but at least he'd be keeping with the team strategy of collecting 2 and 3 guys...
