I sometimes agree with the republicans and sometimes agree with the democrats when I analyze the issues for myself. When it comes from the GOP propoganda machine though it's hard to stomach and my knee jerk reaction is to reject it no matter what because of the way it is packaged and presented. I think it's the "We're all right and anyone who disagrees with us is unAmerican."

I agree with you, about the way the GOP views are thrown out there, but have you ever listened to Air America? both sides act the same way.

Never listened but Air America was created as an answer to the right's existing machine. Which the right says was created to counter the liberal media bias. Round and round they go...

the difference is....other than that no one listens to air america....is that right wing radio is hate filled (not all but a lot)....where as left wing radio is trying to counter that hate and actually talks about helping the country and the people in it....theres no comparison btwn the two

They've been pulling that line for a week now. Its getting to a point of desperation for them now.

And trying for delegates in MI and FL? WTF?

Well, Hillary definitely deserves all those delegates from MI - she beat "Uncommitted" by 15%!

Can you say "momentum"?
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

This cracks me up.

One side is full of hate, and the other is full of reason and helpful discussion.

I just never realized THAT was the difference.  Thanks, Uncle Cracka!

according to this graph, 117.2% of people are voting.  thats just amazing.

I'm guessing that's what the ** is next to the Gore and Edwards numbers - it is pretty clear that they are referencing their last % before being excluded from the polls.

To be honest, I don't listen to either.  I have, but can't get behind any format where the agenda is to spread division and pump pure political agendas over figuring out what is wrong and how to fix it.  That, and I'd rather sing along to some music.

My point was that your pure generalization towards both is laughable, retarded, and simplistic.  And repetitive.  And repetitive.  But I've gotten used to your schtick, so I don't expect anything else.

Who was the last president to balance the budget?
Cutting military spending would go a long, long way...it is outrageous that we spend so much money on the military.  More than the rest of the world combined.

Clinton is the only President to preside over a balanced budget since FDR, right?

My issue with that logic is that Bill Clinton was hampered on many of his spending programs due to gridlock with the Republican Congress.  Additionally, he was much more of a fiscal moderate than either his wife or Obama are proposing to be, and he cut defense and intelligence spending to the nub.  Additionally, he had the benefit of the line item veto, which has since been declared unconstitutional.

It's clear that all the major candidates are not going to balance anything.

Recent National Polling....

QuoteBarack Obama opening a double-digit lead over Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. Today's results show Obama earning support from 49% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters while Clinton attracts 37% (see recent daily numbers). Perhaps the most stunning aspect of the Obama surge is that he now leads 46% to 41% among women.

QuoteIn general election match-ups, Obama leads John McCain 46% to 42% while McCain leads Clinton 48% to 41%

QuoteObama is the most popular candidate at the moment, viewed favorably by 55% and unfavorably by 43%. Clinton is viewed favorably by 44% of Likely Voters nationwide, unfavorably by 53%. McCain's is viewed favorably by 50% and unfavorably by 47%. Opinions about Clinton are more strongly held than opinions about either Obama or McCain.

QuoteRasmussen Markets data now shows McCain with a 95.7% chance to win the nomination and Huckabee has a 1.0% chance. On the Democratic side, the Markets give Obama a 75.0% chance to win the Democratic nomination while expectations for a Clinton victory are at 24.0%.

Clintons are going to play dirty this last stretch. They're career politicians and that's the way the game is played.

You gotta be kidding me, Al Franken comes to mind, but then again like you said no one listens to Air America so he is gone. I am not familiar with the hosts names, but listen if you can find a signal, they are only on during the day around here. And you cannot compare them cause millions more listen to the right wing shows, says a lot about how the general public feels about the left's message.
