The way the Skins are searching for a coach is a discrace to the franchise. What decent coach in his right mind would take a job without being able to pick his own staff??

Jim Fassel?? HA!!

SunMo

lol, the Skins hired Jim Zorn to be their head coach now
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

:-D :-D

ES is lapping it up. He's being compared to Gibbs I

PhillyPhreak54

I like how they all seem to think that the players coaches and families read ES...

QuoteWelcome to the taterskins Family Coach Zorn

maybe the new coach will check out the board.

So I would like to say welcome Coach Zorn and hopefully you will lead us to the Promise Land !!

Art chimes in;

Ok, here's a consolidated place for you guys to vote on whether you like Zorn or hate him and TRY to keep things in a reasonable order for a few hours while the news filters through. We know some will make mistakes and post repeat info, but, try, as you can, to let us know here what you think. Think of it this way, the team and media who read this board will thank you for knowing what you think in ONE place.

bhahahahaha. I just heard this on ESPN news and I couldn't believe it. Danny boy strikes again. Fassel would have been a better fit than Zorn.

QuoteI'm sick and tired of all of you who complain about Dan Snyder. What has he really done that's so unacceptable the last few years? Who the hell are you to tell him how to run his OWN team?

Ban me if you want but I really don't care. I chose to be a taterskins Fan because I love the team regardless of their ups and downs. I believe DS bought the team for those same reasons and has never wavered on his efforts to make it better than ever. He paid players and coaches alike exuberant amounts of money because he felt it would make us better contenders year in and year out.

As I run my business, if for whatever reason someone is not fitting well in my organization, he /she is gone. I definately don't need to hear it from the public on how to run my business. That's what I feel Dan has done and I don't fault him for that!
If I had Sally Junkey's e-mail, I would give her a piece of my mind.

He has tried everything within his power to get us to the promise land; even if it meant bringing back Joe Gibbs and Co., he wined and dined every free agent and outbid the entire NFL and paid players because he thought it would help the team.

He was a class act when Sean passed and we all appreciated the way he carried himself and represented our beloved taterskinS nation.
A few weeks have passed and you are all ready to crucify him because Gibbs quit and GW didn't get the job. How rediculious is that??????????????

ice grillin you

did they consult the OC on the hiring of the head coach?
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

QuoteI like this hire, and the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Sounds like Snyder wanted him all along, but wanted to go through to process of interviewing all the candidates on their list, and also possibly hesitant due to Zorn's lack of coordinator experience......Which of course shows the patience he learned for Gibbs.

Welcome Coach Zorn!

QuoteThis could be a brilliant move. He has a good reputation. Players seem to like, respect and understand him. I also hear he has just enough of a temper to get his point across.
Danny, you really surprised me this time. I am excited to see what he will do.
Congratulations Coach Zorn and welcome to the Washington taterskins.

QuoteI think Jim Zorn is a perfect match for the Washington taterskins. He has proven qualifications both as a former player and as one of the assistant coaches of the Seattle Seahawks and I believe that he will be a HUGE impact to Jason Campbell as well as the rest of the team.

Welcome to Washington, DC, Coach Zorn! I'm looking forward to the Zorn era of taterskins football!

HA! Looks like my money is safe for next year.

I like the spin on ESPN.  "well.....hiring one of Holmgren's QB coaches worked well for the Eagles."

I know I must be missing something, but I don't get this picture:
