Why don't we all just agree that they won't trade McNabb this year unless someone comes along with some incredible offer they simply can't refuse?

On which board do you think you're posting, sir?

even though that is some sweet sarcasm...i have no doubt it is a verbatim conversation happening somewhere in the halls of the Wachovia

SunMosy was drunky last night.

He's not the only one.  Traffic was extremely light this morning compared to a usual Monday morning.

I hope Andy Reid got drunk last night and had a moment of clarity.

The shtein you guys spend time arguing about sometimes is unbelievable.

Why don't we all just agree that they won't trade McNabb this year unless someone comes along with some incredible offer they simply can't refuse?

Which of course... puts him in the company of any other player in the NFL.

So, you boldly declare that he isn't going anywhere, but he would if the price was right?  Cop-out.

There are four actually only three positions you can have on this issue:
1.  The Eagles will not trade McNabb this offseason at any price.
--This is a slightly bone-headed, but ultimately viable, position.
2.  The Eagles have set a very high price for McNabb.
--Duh.  The problem is if you also claim to know for a fact that not one of the 31 other teams will meet it.
3.  The Eagles are looking to trade McNabb and will accept the highest bid.
--Like #1, this is viable but unfounded.

Basically, I'm a #2, and I want to see the 1's and 3's duke it out.

Newsome disputes McNabb report
Ravens GM dismisses rumored interest in Eagles quarterback; he says team focused on rounding out coaching staff, not personnel
By Jamison Hensley

General manager Ozzie Newsome disputed an ESPN report that the Ravens are pondering making a substantial offer for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

"We have not had one meeting to discuss any personnel on our team or anyone else's team," Newsome said this morning. "We've been very busy hiring assistant coaches."

There has been speculation linking the Ravens to McNabb since the team hired longtime Eagles assistant John Harbaugh to replace head coach Brian Billick.

If the Ravens would decide they are interested in trading for McNabb, it likely would take at least a first-round pick. The Ravens have the No. 8 pick in the NFL draft.

When rumors surfaced late last season that the Eagles would be willing to part ways with McNabb, team president Joe Banner said McNabb would return next season as their starting quarterback.

"I can't envision a situation in which [McNabb] is not our quarterback next year," Banner said. "We are talking about a quarterback who went to four straight (NFC) championship games. There are only four quarterbacks in the history of the league that have done that. You are talking about a quarterback who has had a higher winning percentage in his first seven years in the league than Peyton Manning. You are talking about a quarterback that has one of the highest quarterback ratings over the first seven seasons, one of the best TD-to-interceptions ratios of any quarterback in the history of this game in his first seven seasons in the league. ...

"My expectation, and I can't really even picture a different scenario, is that he'll be the quarterback."

Although the Ravens haven't publicly committed to Steve McNair as their starter for next season, he has been rehabbing his surgically repaired left (non-throwing) shoulder about two to three days a week at team headquarters.

"He's progressing very well," Newsome said.

When asked if McNair could come back and be the starting quarterback, Newsome said, "We have not had any dialogue about our personnel. We don't have a quarterback coach yet."
"The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.""  R.I.P George.

Don Ho

this is exciting!  birds could have two first round picks!!  wow!  so we get the opportunity to draft two OT projects, correct?  i don't think i could take this FO with two first round picks at their disposal.

Donovan stays.

Someone on the EMB said that the Eagles should get two #1's, two #2's and Ed Reed for McNabb.

Say what you will about the place but you can't get that sort of comedy just anywhere.  Well, other than a loony bin, anyway.

Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Well, the real hypothetical question is, would you trade McNabb for that?  I would.

HAHAHAHA.Ha.
Anyone but Reid.

Chad Johnson shoved a Bengals media relations employee following Pro Bowl practice Thursday, according to FOXSports.com's Alex Marvez.

T.O. II? Marvez, with Bengals employee Michael Lipman beside him, asked Johnson if he felt better after venting at the Super Bowl last week. Johnson walked away, and when Lipman asked again, Chad reportedly shoved him and "stared him down." Johnson later admitted on the NFL Network that he's "gotten out of line every now and then" behind the scenes, adding "what great one doesn't? Find me a great one that doesn't do the same things I've done and I'll stop playing. Period." HOF Class of '08 Art Monk comes to mind. Feb. 8 - 12:09 am et
