The BIGSTUD

Best episode of the season last night by far. Omar is about to go wild.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

wow i dont know how you could ever say the wire is boring...maybe not as good as the first four years but still magical...i thought it was a very good episode...the serial killer storyline is still a little far fetched imo but everything else is coming together nicely

I watched it at midnight and granted I was tanked but I fell asleep twice and had to rewind to see what I missed. The serial killer storyline is absolutely ridiculous and extremely far fetched. From the previews McNulty dug himself in a hole and now wants out,  how predictable. McNulty's character is awful, I miss the redundant drunkiness and banging ho's he meets at bars. The press angle puts me to sleep whenever its on and aside from Gus the rest of the reporters are boring. Redeeming qualities of the last episode were:
Omar of course
Marlo raising the price of the brick
Carcetti and Daniels speech on the homeless killings was money

theres been what six episode this year and in probably five of them mcnultys been drunk or womanizing...so i dont understand what you mena by you miss it

the press storyline i could see people not liking...i personally love it as im interested in newsrooms and the newspaper business...but its def not for everyone...seems sd like you want episodes of omar running around like john mcclain and mcnulty having sex all show...ie more action....fair enough but thats not what the wire is nor has it ever been
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

Am I really the only one that's going to make fun of IGY for calling a TV show 'magical'? farging weirdos.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Not exactly but more of that would definitely be better. The more I can hear McNulty's accent the worse his character is, for some reason I don't think that's a coincedence. Instead of concentrating so much of the show on the boring press angle they could of focused more on the Clay Davis indictment, what's going on with Marlo and the co-op, what's been happening with Randy (seeing his character was refreshing). I know every season has an angle and the press one would have been fine if it were in smaller doses.

Look, I love the show, probably my all time favorite show along with Lost, I'm willing to give it the full season before I label it a bust.

the problem with the serial killer storyline is that its there to expose the ills of inner city goverment...something that is already being done by showing the financial shortfalls of the police department...you can show budget shortfalls without concocting what is at best a semi believable storyline...

the lack of creative liberties that simon took in the first four years is what made the show so incredibly realistic to the point that you felt as if you were watching a documentary not a tv show...this year the serial killer thing while not awful or anything makes the wire a tv show instead of a something much more

the show is definitely a victim of its own success...like how do you top perfection...even tho they did it for four years i guess five was asking for too much...this year it will just have to settle for best tv show of all time as opposed to being better than everything else in tv history combined (or something like that)

I can agree with that, this season is entertaining and I'm eagerly awaiting to see how they wrap it up.

Shut up. All of you. Watch Arrested Development.
