Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

what's not a good thing is Mo inexplicably putting Willie Green in for Thad down the stretch
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

After a disappointing win vs. Toronto the Sixers snap back into form with a good loss to the Pacers

Thad Young is going to be a very good player. He's already one of the best players on the team. I really liked the pick at the time but didn't expect him to be this good this quickly.

I agree. I'm on the opposite end though with the pick. I actually wanted them to pick up Thornton, but the two are not that far off. Although I think Thornton has more versatility in the paint, I like Young's all-around abilities. Young will be a very nice complimentary player for many years.

Lose all they want. the playing time Smith/Young and Williams are getting is huge for their development. Carney is bye-bye

Dillen

The thing I like about Young is that he could definitely be a #2 option. He's everything we want Iguodala to be. He's a better shooter and rebounder. Even though he's a better shooter he doesn't fall in love with the 3 and barely takes them, unlike Iguodala who shoots 30% while taking 5 a game.

The thing I didn't like about Thornton is that he's already 24. I didn't buy into that bullshtein "he has no more potential" stuff, but Young was almost on the same level as Thornton in the same conference 5 years younger.

tim legler sixers mid season grade

Philadelphia 76ers (Grade: C-minus) -- The talk around the league is that the Sixers have been a pleasant surprise. I'm not sold on that. It's true, based on their offensive talent, they are a lottery team. My bigger problem is with their lack of defensive commitment. In the NBA a team must compensate for lack of firepower by working on every possession.

some old guy on FOXSports.com

QuotePhiladelphia 76ers
-- Why do they insist on holding on to Andre Miller? Give the guy a break and send him to a contender.
-- Then let Louis Williams learn on the run.
-- Does Samuel Dalembert have the ugliest jumper in captivity?
-- Willie Green will turn out to be a better all-around player than Andre Iguodala.

Green is awful and that was a stupid statement but the more I look at what's going to be available in the offseason the more I want to see them ship Iggy in a sign and trade. I'm sold on Thad being a player in the next couple of seasons.

it appears as tho they have collectively given up...which is a good thing...even andre miller looks like the walking dead out there...and when the consumate professional has packed it in its full speed ahead towards a top five pick

Dalembert vs Okafor tonight. Okafor has been on a tear in his past 3 games: 20.3 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, 67% FG. Should be a good matchup, but I wouldn't be surprised if Okafor dominates Dalembert. I hope the Sixers could somehow manage to get him this offseason, he's a RFA.

Sixers won 103-96.

Thad got the start at PF but only played 18 minutes. Iguodala led the team with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Sixers got torched from the outside once again, Jason Richardson was 7-11.

Okafor had another great game 17 points and 16 rebounds. Like I said, it'd be awesome to manage some trade for him.
