I met a guy tonight on the DC metro after a night of drinking--y0u'll be happy to know I drank my douchebag pals under the table--who claims to know Hank Baskett.

I told him that we give Hank much love.

QuoteRegarding Heckert, there's now a question as to how things will go for him in Philly.  There are whispers of strain between Heckert and team president Joe Banner.  As we hear it, Eagles owner Jeff Lurie recommended Heckert to the Falcons -- and the fact that Heckert's current team would try t0 help him leave might have spooked Falcons owner Arthur Blank.

nice to know banner the accountant has so much power in this organization.

Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

Banner seems to have a likability problem with a lot of people.  Maybe being an arrogant, insufferable, know-it-all douchebag might have something to do with that?

NFL insider: QB McNabb wants another playmaker
BY MARK CURNUTTE | MCURNUTTE@ENQUIRER.COM

One of the hottest NFL rumors this offseason, besides the coaching carousel, is the question of whether the Bengals will trade four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson.

One of the top suitors could be the Philadelphia Eagles, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb wants another playmaker on offense, and it's conceivable, the paper reported, that the Eagles might be interested in orchestrating a trade for Johnson - who just turned 30 Wednesday.

Johnson, who has six consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons, is represented by agent Drew Rosenhaus, widely believed to be the source of all Johnson-related rumors.

Still, the Eagles would make an intriguing trade partner for the Bengals if they were to choose to move Johnson. Philadelphia has a wealth of defensive players who could help the Bengals bolster the perennially weakest part of their team.

Cincy is stupid.

They'd trade for Kearse knowing he'll be cut anyways.

Or they could be salivating over a package that would include Darren Howard, Chris Gocong and Sean Considine.

I got some drool listening to that list, too.  But it's angry drool, not sexy drool.

I hear they love them some Takeo Spikes in Cincy.

Done. Spikes a second and a fourth for Johnson, and we'll throw in Andy Reid. And since it's the Bengals, we'll throw in Ried's kids too (they could be the Otho Davis and Butch Buchanico of Cincy).

If we could get Chad Johnson for any three members of our defense, pull the trigger.

Especially if it involves Dawkins.  He's done anyway.
Anyone but Reid.

Anyone else catch Sheldon Brown on Sports Final last night?  When asked about not having enough playmakers on defense and being dead last in takeaways, he replied "What good are turnovers when the offense doesn't do anything with them?"  ouch

He also said they should have cut Trotter earlier.  Cutting him at the end of August screwed with the locker room....
