You mean passing 40-50 times a game without decent receivers is a bad thing?

In all fairness, Belicheck tried that last year.

The key difference is that he learned his lesson.

Right, he went out and got 2 #1s and Welker and still threw the ball that many times.

THat offense doesn't work for Philly.

no the key difference is that belichek has a qb that can do it with any wr's and when he has good ones he puts up the single best season ever...you mention he tried to do it last year like they were 8-8...they pulled a titantic choke blowing almost a 3 td lead on the road against the sb champion in the conference championship game...its not like it didnt work for them

You don't think the Eagles could win a Super Bowl if they had Moss and Welker instead of Brown and Avant?

ice grillin you

not with their defense....but what does that have to do with anything

you were saying that belichek made the same mistake last year of throwing the ball 40 times a game with weak wr's...im just saying thats what they should do if they have tom brady no matter who the wr's are

New England was a 12-4 team that scored 385 points last year with shtein receivers.

They got Welker, Stallworth & Moss and scored almost 200 more points and went undefeated.  They were a pass first offense last year and had success.  They were a pass first offense with incredible weapons this year and didn't lose a game.

There's a lesson in there somewhere.

ice grillin you

the lesson is if you wanna go undefeated and win a superbowl with tom brady get great wr's...if you just wanna win a superbowl with tom brady get avg wr's

EAGLES general manager Tom Heckert still appears to be the leading candidate to get the Atlanta Falcons' GM job once owner Arthur Blank ends his wild goose chase for Southern California coach Pete Carroll.

According to two league sources, the Falcons could offer the job to Heckert as soon as this weekend. The team interviewed several other personnel executives in the last 2 weeks, including Patriots director of college scouting Tom Dimitroff, Packers pro personnel director Reggie McKenzie, Packers personnel analyst to the general manager John Schneider and Jaguars director of college scouting Gene Smith.

I think Heckert did about as much general managing as Childress did offensive coordinating.
