just saw no country for old men. terrific version out there for downloading if you are a cheapass like me.

obviously it was good, but overt symbolism and layered themes ain't my thing. i dont like watching a move, trying to interpret it, then having to go online to figure out what it actually all meant.

still, with that, the cinematography was breathtaking. like fargo, the coens did an amazing job of authenticating west texas and javier bedram was balls out crazy.

3.5/5
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

ice grillin you

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

"Bourne Ultimatum"

Through 3 of these movies, I still can't believe Matt Damon is as good as he is at this action stuff.  Regardless, this is the best of the three, and I would recommend anyone who enjoyed either of the first two should see it.  2 hours feels like 10 minutes.

4.5/5 - one of the best and most entertaining movies in recent memory

i just watched all 3 of these in the last few weeks and i agree, ultimatum was very good.

Rome

If you're planning on getting Bourne Ultimatum do yourselves a favor and get the special edition version from Best Buy.  There's an extra disc in the package that is crammed with bonus features.  It's definitely worth the extra few bucks.

Why?  Because I didn't laugh hysterically at the big dck pictures?

Seabiscuit36

It's not a movie, but i found the Upright Citizens Brigade Season 2 DVD.  One of my favorite comedy shows ever
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

Just got back from Charlie Wilson's War. Fantastic. And Julia Roberts is a snatch.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

saw Juno this afternoon...overall it was pretty good.  Michael Cera was once again very good as an awkward teenager.  Jason Bateman was pretty good in a supporting role, and Ellen Page was good as Juno.

the story was good and the acting was fine, but where it let down was the dialogue.  it tried too hard to be clever with every line.  they basically tried to clever you to death, and while there really were some great lines in there, they were kind of covered up by the ones that were out of place and obviously trying too hard.

overall, i really liked it and would watch it again.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Rome

One of the greatest movies in history is on the 5-Star Cinemax channel right now.

Here's a couple of hints...

"Illinois Nazis... I hate Illinois Nazis..."

"We're putting the band back together..."

methdeez

I never really understood the big stink over the Blues brothers. It was kinda funny, and it had some good music, but...
I mean, it had like 10 jokes in the whole movie.
Maybe b/c the skit was before my time, but I never saw why this movie was such a huge deal.
