I love zombie flicks, personally I'd give it a 4/5 with Dawn of Dead getting a solid 5. I just don't feel like explaining why I'd give a zombie flick 4 or 5 stars when I only gave a far superior flick like Unforgiven the same or lower.

Saw Pirates-At World's End.  Awful, unwatchably bad.  Even Jack Sparrow couldn't save it.
Anyone but Reid.

finally saw ordinary people...always seemed to me like something that would be extremely boring and with over the top melodrama...it actually ended up being a great character study of a family who has lost a son and how that loss effects their relationships with each other...it could have easily morphed into tv movie land or become soap opera esque but it didnt...it ended up being a very good movie tho i suspect it got all of its awards because of the extremely weak year in movies that it came out

7/10

Easily the worst of the 3.

No, but can we at least agree the first was by far the best?

Even worse:  Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are competing technologies for high definition video.

It's like Beta vs. VHS.  Feel the excitement.

Samsung has a DVD player that handles both (plus the regular DVDs)

PoopyfaceMcGee

Exactly.  Which is why when I needed a new DVD player, I bought a decent regular DVD player for about $60 instead of blowing my load on any sort of HD.

Regular DVD's mastered correctly have great picture and sound quality.  I don't give a shtein if it's not 1080p, especially while there are two different formats floating around.  Once one format wins out and/or all "HD" players handle all formats, I'll consider getting one.  Plus, the discs are all more expensive and not as readily available.  farg that.

SunMo

yeah, where oh where can i find these hard to find HD discs!?!  they are scarce...

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.
