My question is this. Why do they have him playing left tackle when he was a right tackle in college? I know that he was a blind-side tackle because Leinart was a lefty, but come on, let the dude back up Runyan instead of putting him at the most important position on the OL.

Exactly.  He was horrific at LT and not much better at RT.

rjs246

Ah, didn't realize that. God, it's even worse than I thought.

Recovery from concussions are a bitch to forecast, IGY.  Knowing the way Runyan is if there was anything on the line he would have been back the next week.  Just spitballing, though, because I haven't heard anything...

Word from the training room at NovaCare is that Runyan's femoral artery is still intact.  Good news.

While I know many of you didn't watch yesterday, anyone who did catch the announcers saying what a great draft pick Reno Mahe was?  Classic.
Anyone but Reid.

I nearly forgot that stat. If anyone in the future asks how Devin Hester changed the game of football, that stat might be the single most powerful argument.

The announcers were truly awful.  I was almost to the point of hoping for some scintillating Tony Siragusa sideline analysis.  The obsession with informing the audience on every play what personnel packages were on the field were stellar, along with comments about a certain guy being a "high draft pick", because he was picked in the first half of the draft or so.  Idiots.

Some of their particularly inciteful analysis:

Westbrook touches the ball far too much, at 38% of the offense.
Anyone but Reid.

PoopyfaceMcGee

All you have to do is stop Westbrook to stop the Eagles!

BTW, I thought it was funny that the Bills had Aaron Schobel covering him on a play... but even funnier that the coverage was actually pretty good and McNabb put perfect touch on the ball.  Hahahaha.  Suckers.

McNabb had a lot of great throws yesterday, actually.  His confidence is definitely back.  Unfortunately, that also led to that red zone INT.

MadMarchHare

Yeah, agreed.  He dropped a couple passes right onto receivers over DBs yesterday which was sweet.  He needs to either eat the sack or throw it away on that pick though.  Still had a really good TD-INT ratio this season, albeit too many sacks (mostly because of zesty receivers).
Anyone but Reid.

rjs246

Honestly, if McNabb could cut down on the 6-8 second sacks that he takes the improvement to the offense would be noticeable. That one thing, throwing the ball away when there just isn't anything there, would be huge.
