I'm sure there is a racist joke there somewhere....
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Ibuprofen work at all?  In clin trials, it supposedly worked better than Tylenol 3.  Obviously not a Percocet, and you'll have to stop taking it 48h before surgery (blood thinner).  Worth a try.

Of course, there's always scotch....
I had some IB800's left over.  They work ok, but definitely dont work as well as perc's.  I guess i'm a puss, i can deal with the pain in the day, but when its time to go to sleep, pain bothers me.  It's all about being still, and trying to forget about the pain.

From the mri the doc figured out i had my anterial labrum completely torn, and he's worried about the rotatar cuff being torn up.  Plus some ligament on the back of my shoulder showing a tear.  6 weeks in a sling(after 4 to start) then 3 months of rehab, i cant wait.  The only positive is losing my man boobs.

And yes MMH i use JWR to self medicate, or tonight half a bottle of Mckennas single barrel Bourbon

was the ligament called the coracoacromial ligament Sea?

QuoteJ. Russell Coffey, the oldest known surviving U.S. veteran of World War I, has died. The retired teacher, one of only three U.S. veterans from the "war to end all wars," was 109.

J. Russell Coffey, pictured in April, became a teacher when he left the Army.

Coffey died Thursday at the Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore, where he had lived for the past four or five years, said Gaye Boggs, nursing director at the nursing home. No cause of death has been determined, she said Friday. His health began failing in October.

Really?  No cause of death is known on a 109 year old man??
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

I just looked, the one that he showed me was the coraco humeral ligament, its the big one that looks like its triangle shaped.  He couldnt find in even on the mri so he thinks it's fully torn.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Diomedes

I honestly couldn't tell you why the U.S. fought in the Great War.  History always seemed so unimportant.  Really...it's good for what? A bit of context?  Sure as farg, we don't learn anything from it...at least not anything useful.

Correction....WE learn from it. George Bush and the current administration apparently doesn't.
