fargudome ended up going for 4/$48M.

Basically he got the same contract that the reigning World Series MVP turned down from the Phillies.

World.  Series.

I don't get that.  Aren't the Astros supposed to be rebuilding at this point?  WTF do they want with a washed-up ex-roid-rager like Tejada?

Strange.

PhillyPhreak54

Once again Wade is being hailed as a hero down here. At one point, one of the sports radio guys uttered "I dont know why Philadelphia fired this guy"...HA!!

Tejada is a nice acquisition for them because SS was a black hole for them last year. And this gives them one helluva line-up

Bourn
Matsui
Tejada
Berkman
Lee
Pence
Wiggington
catcher

average lineup, two decent starters and no legit closer.  5th place

Anyone else excited for 2pm tomorrow when Mitchell announces the findings in his report?  :evil

Any bets on which phils are listed?

Yep. Depending on the source, the papers are reporting either "about 50" or "60-80" names of former and current players will be named by the report.

I think this is a completely retarded thing for the federal government to be involved with, but I have to admit that I can't wait to find out who's juicing.

I'm curious, but at the same time I am tired of the steroid talk. This report is hollow because he had no subpoena powers. No one had to tell him jack shtein and for all we know there were lies on top of lies told because there is no threat of prosecution.

So what's going to happen, IMO, is we'll see these names and they'll be followed by miles of players and agents issuing denials or half assed explanations of tainted supplements.

As for Phils? Current or former...

I have a feeling Abreu's name will be on there.

Lieberthal. Never trust a half-Jew, they are the sneakiest of the lot.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
