If it weren't for his stance on abortion I'd probably vote for the old farger from Texas.   As it is now I'm voting for Hillary.

Keep in mind that Ron Paul thinks that Abortion is a states rights issue, and should not be addressed (either way) at the federal level.  He is this way on most social issues.
An ad hominem fallacy consists of asserting that someone's argument is wrong and/or he is wrong to argue at all purely because of something discreditable/not-authoritative about the person or those persons cited by him rather than addressing the soundness of the argument itself.

Most of these candidates make me want to move to Canada anyways!

this country needs to drop an aids bomb on all red states

Yeah, he's a regilious whacko, that's his principle selling point.  Romney is trying to persuade New Lifers and their ilk that he too is a religous whacko, but so far Huckabee has their allegience.  They're the American Taliban, and these two guys are Osama and Al Zarqawi (or whatever his dumb name was).

Ron Paul has some strange ideas regarding things like the FDA and the economy, too.  But whatever.  If I can't have Kucinich...clearly the best option in the field in my opinion...then I'd rather throw a massive wrench like Paul into the works just to see what happens.

I agree with Huckabee on the Fair Tax and basically nothing else.
I hate Romney more than his Democrat rich-boy, perfect-hair counterpart (Edwards).
The idea of voting for Giuliani makes me feel dirty.

I don't see many red states in this election.  Bums in the race - all of them.

Other than Philly & Pittsburgh, (barely) Pennsylvania is a red state.

Apparently, the DNC is refraining from criticizing Huckabee, since he's the guy they want to kill in the general election.

Good call, actually.

PA needs to be 3 states: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Pennsyltucky.

That's what I like most about the idea - there's no way he could do what he wanted to do, but it would effectively throw a third party into the legislative process.

The political system in this country is only slightly less corrupt & inbred than the one in the movie "Moon Over Parador".

And it's considerably less entertaining too.

Huckabee attack ad

if he could say what he means...

Huckabee should basically be the wet dream for Dems.  He has zero chance of winning and a very good chance of mutilating the Republican party for years to come.

I think I'm going to vote for crazy John McCain if he hasn't dropped out by the NC primary.

I just checked out Ron Paul's web site and he appears to be a certified whackjob... except for this:

QuoteThe biggest threat to your privacy is the government. We must drastically limit the ability of government to collect and store data regarding citizens' personal matters.

Can we please get a politician who isn't insane to think this way about personal privacy?
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i tried to tell everyone a while back when the ron paul bandwagon was just starting that he was certifiable...to be fair he has some very good outlooks on issues and we need more people like him in politics but he has no business running a country

I am curious as to why people think RP is a "whack job"?  Not pointing at you rjs, but when I talk to people about him its always like "well I heard this", or "according to so-and-so".  Rarely do I hear of a legitimate argument.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.
