Hahaha.

Intent to injure > showboating.

farg yes. One is manly and inspired by angry feelings of rage. The other is fruity and inspired by a douchey desire to be on TV. In other words, TV sucks and should be killed.

it blows my mind that people are pissed that they went for it on 4th down against the cowboys.    a FG is more of a slap in the face than going for it.  at least he gave them one more chance to stop them.   everyone sounds like a bunch of women.

I don't care about 4th downs in particular. There's this misconception that going for it on 4th down takes some sort of massive cajones and that only a wild man would go for it. That just isn't the case. More teams should go for it on 4th down as far as I'm concerned.

My problem with Belichick et al is that I think it shows no class to have all of your starters in in the 4th quarter of a 25+ point blowout. To have them in throwing the ball on every down is even more farged up and should result in broken noses.

QuotePHILADELPHIA -- Donovan McNabb will not practice Wednesday because of ankle and thumb injuries, and it's uncertain whether the five-time Pro Bowl quarterback will play for the Eagles against New England on Sunday.

Donovan McNabb

McNabb

"You want to be smart, but you want to get out there and play," McNabb said.

McNabb hurt his thumb early in Philadelphia's 17-7 win over Miami, and left the game after he sprained his right ankle in the second quarter. A.J. Feeley led the Eagles to a pair of touchdowns and would start against the Patriots if McNabb can't play.

Coach Andy Reid said McNabb's ankle swelled up Tuesday. A day earlier, it seemed the thumb injury was more of a concern.

"Right now the ankle is a little more swollen than the thumb," Reid said. "We'll take it day by day and see how he goes."

Why does this game actually have me pretty excited over all the dreck I've watched this season so far? Well some great things will result:

A national prime-time exposure of the "Gold Standard" WMD bullshtein. Since that 4th qtr in the SB, the two teams couldn't have gone in more opposite directions. Look for that to be painfully reinforced by announcers a few times Sunday night. LuireReidCo can continue to deny it, but there will be no no plainer proof than this game of anal rippage.

Additional national proof showing that after Stallworth slaps them around that they can't draft nor can they retain anyone remotely good at that position.

If he plays, this game defines McNabbs longer term prospects. And if he doesn't play b/c of injury, that in of itself will be telling to any future suitors. Either way this game reduces his marketability. Too bad for the Eagles, but take solace that they would squander any picks/take marginal players in return anyway.

Answer to the question of not can they win, but can serious pain be inflicted, or will they go down like sniveling pantywaists? If this team has any Philly in them, they will hurt some-farging somebody - especially in garbage time.

I am looking forward to this game to see if this team has any vestiges of ability to compete. A cheek-spreading, buns-up, pillow-biting, meat-missle team colonoscopy on SNF can only be great fodder for the off-season reducing any remaining Reid apologists and LurieLappers to utterly laughable status.

Lastly, this whupping will finally put us back to where we were in the late 90's - all bandwagoners will have jumped, and we can look forward to this part of the Eagles regular 12 year cycle which is 5-7 years of miserable coaches and results.

But at least we'll have each other.

I want to see this turn into the football version of Slapshot.  I want to see cheap shots and fist fights to the point where the police need to get involved, becuase the refs can't control it.

I want people carried unmoving off the field in stretchers.  They'll be talking about this game for years.

If that happened.  farging Reid, can't even get a brawl right.
Anyone but Reid.

SunMo

you don't need a football version of slapshot...you just need them to be the Mean Machine from The Longest Yard

I think I broke his farging neck!
