It's amazing how McNabb can have such a good stat line and yet he really didn't seem to play well at all.

Other than the fumble, it sounded like he was playing fairly well all game.  Of course, I couldn't see it and only listened so it's probably harder to gain some perspective on it.  On the other hand though, it sounded like Jason Campbell was Tom Brady through the first 3.5 quarters of play.

Bad news: The taterskins had 2 punts in the game....both in the first half

Good news?: The Eagles had 2 punts in the game....both in the first half

I will say JC had some good throws.  I guess that's easier when you have about 16 seconds each time to throw the ball.
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

Will James is getting owned by James farging Thrash.  Christ almighty.

Gptta remember Thrash owned James when he played for the Eagles.  Same double moves he is using on James today he on him when James was a Giant.

Skins had 71 offensive plays.

They did but in the end the Eagles D finally showed up ..............

Did the FargSkins let them score that last touchdown on purpose?
It would have been a smart move, but they looked so disorganized and dispirited that I can't belive they would have been together enough to call that.

They defensive players were still sort of milling around, and two people in the secondary ran into each other on the way to Westbrook, so i think it was just incompetence.
Which makes me happy.

QB Eagles

The NFL put up the video of Westbrook's long TD. Check out the sweet blocks that sprung him free. I count at least four great blocks, including two savage hits by Andrews and Runyan.

I thought of it during the play, and now during the replay:  How fitting is it that the WASHINGTON PA system was playing "Iron Man" after Westbrook's touchdown?

Watching it, and given the score, it seemed that they did let the score to preserve time and get the ball back.

There is no doubt they let the Eagles score the TD.  Why not?  No timeouts, so a goalline stand would take a lot of time, and assuming the Eagles can convert a <30 yard FG, the skins are down 4 and need a TD anyway.

It's unorthodox, but letting Westbrook walk in was actually the correct coaching move there.

EDIT: Confirmed via ESPN recap...
QuoteThe screen play gave the Eagles a 26-25 lead. Westbrook added one more score with 2:18 to play, a 10-yard run the taterskins admitted they purposely allowed so they could get the ball back with a chance to tie.

"That's exactly what they did. They allowed us to score," Westbrook said. "I wish I would have known that. I would have stopped at the 1. As an offensive player, any time you have an opportunity to get into the end zone, you get into the end zone."

Andrews blew up Rocky McInstosh, but what Runyan did to Cornelius Griffin (96) was just awesomely brutal. If you slow the video down, Runyan basically not just blindsides him, but swings his arm and jaws him, Runyan actually left his feet, and Griffin was flat on his back for a minute after the play. Runyan is a bad, bad man.
