ill ask the question again...how come the day this pos was drafted everyone knew it was a huge mistake...but the team whose job it is to get these things right was completely clueless

every team makes bad picks...but ive never seen a team who is so obviously wrong at the time of the pick than these eagles

Y'know something... I agree with every bit of this... but I don't so much blame them for making a bad pick (even one as obvious as McCoy) because every team does.  The thing that got me was how many times the Eagles brain trust acted as if we were all idiots because we "just couldn't see" what was so great about this guy.

Then they'll try to spin it off as if it was all about the penalty and not about the fact that McCoy wasn't worth a shtein on the field.  Yet, Killa got called for a really stupid penalty last year and he's still around... job safe as ever.

Yeah, it's not the fact that they made a bad pick as much as it is them keeping him on the roster for 2+ years when it's obvious he can't play.  And the way they tried to sell him as a starting caliber LB not only shows how stubborn and arrogant that they are but it's also insulting to the fans' intelligence.  And McCoy isn't the only player they've done this with either.  Considine, Simoneau, Thrash, Na (best hands on the team) Brown, etc, etc.  

dhani, fred ex, pinkston, cecil martin, and the list goes on and on....

I figured that was all covered by the "etc, etc" part.

The Considine pick is even more brutal when you consider they had all night Saturday to decide who to pick.

i don't hate Considine in the 4th round too much, i don't know where anybody else had him slotted, i hate that they think he's a starter.  if they drafted him in the 4th round and let him be the special teamer he should be, everything would be fine, but they keep trying to jam him in the starting lineup and it makes everything unfine

I thought McCoy looked like a beast in training camp last year.   I honestly thought he was going to be a decent player but I was as wrong as I could possibly be.  Thing is I don't get paid gobs of money to be a talent evaluator.  Reid & Heckert farged up royally with that kid - but then again, it's not like they haven't screwed the pooch before.

I've never seen a team make so many mistakes at linebacker and wide receiver.  You'd think those two positions would be the easiest to grade out in terms of playing potential, but I guess not.

last season when micheal lewis was stinking it up and we knew he was gone...there was no other option. so of course like a moron this offseason i believed they would sign someone or draft someone to replace micheal lewis.

michael lewis was playing 20 times better than Considine is playing now, stop buying into the spin.  just because lewis got beat once or twice on pass plays doesn't mean he wasn't doing his job otherwise.  his job as a strong safety is run support, something Considine can't do.  the move shouldn't have been made last year and it sure as hell shouldn't have been kept this year.

Michael Lewis wasn't benched because of his play.  He was benched because he wouldn't sign one of the Eagles' trademarked "hometown discount" contracts.  Once contract negotiations broke down he was in the dog house and never got out.

Reid's a vindictive douchebag and so is the four-eyed funhole who negotiates the contracts.
