Don't forget Marky Mark.  Obviously, he's a far better actor than he was a rapper.  LL Cool J isn't bad either as long as he's cast in a small supporting role.

I think Ice Cube is decent too.  Not only as an actor but he's pretty creative too because I think he helped write and produce Friday and Barbershop.

Oh....watched Blades of Glory today.  Was actually better than I thought it'd be.  Had some pretty good laughs.  I enjoyed it but glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater.

The Break Up's on HBO on demand so I watched it. I was pretty dissapointed. It had some funny parts but it wasn't the "hit comedy" it was advertised to be. Vince Vaughn is good as usual but there just wasn't a lot for him to work with in this movie. I liked Vincent D'Oferno or whatever his name is as Vince's brother though. Overall it was less comedy and more make me semi-miss my exgirlfriend. I did get to see Jennifer Aniwhatever's ass though.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Even if American Gangster sucks (which I doubt), it has to have the best trailer of all time.

Really?
It looks like your standard crime rise and fall bullisht. I mean it has a good song and all...

Also, two lame moments right in the trailer:

A: T.I.P. is in the movie - Rappers acting (excpet Ice-Cube in Boyz)=Ghey

B: At the end "This is America"  - how sterotypical is that? Is that a prerequisite in every kingpin movie since Scarface? They might as well show him on his knees yelling "Nooooooo!"

I think you just have a man-crush on Denzel after Training Day and Man on Fire.
Which is, you know, understandable.
But you realize its about Frank Matthews right, read up on the guy.

Got around to watching The Departed tonight.  Exceeded all the hype.  The only downer was that it had Anthony Anderson in it.  But at least his role was seriously limited.  Plus he got shot in the head.  It's the first time I've ever seen a token brother die in a movie and applaud.

Awesome flick though.

"Transformers" was totally badass and those of you that haven't seen it should do so immediately.

4.5/5.  Great action.  Relatively ok acting.  Eye candy.  Great farging action.  Badass robots.

In the spirit of Halloween I rented 4 horror movies yesterday to watch on my new TV. In the spirit of not completely terrifying the ladyfriend, I made sure that most of them were funny. So I rented Evil Dead, C.H.U.D., Land of the Dead and Black Sheep.

Only got a chance to watch Black Sheep, but it was farging awesome. (And no I'm not talking about the retarded Chris Farley vehicle.) This is a kiwi flick about a pack of murderous weresheep. It was very gory and pretty freaking hilarious. Anyone who's a fan of the Evil Dead/Dead Alive/Slither genre needs to check this out immediately.

And honestly, who isn't a fan of early Peter Jackson fare  (although, Meet the Feebles was farging awful).
Anyone but Reid.

This movie was definitely reminiscent of Dead Alive and Bad Taste. Both of which I loved. Of course, the goofy New Zealand accents certainly could be contributing to that.
