the aviator looks unbelievably boring....mostly because i couldnt be less interested in howard hughes

Anyone ever seen "Catch Me If You Can"?  It had DiCaprio and I think Tom Hanks in it.  It looked really good and was probably the first movie with DiCaprio in it that looked good to me.  Still haven't gotten around to watching it though.

it was awful

Aviator was great, Catch Me was not awful

The Beach was bad, but DiCaprio didn't make it any worse than it would have been with any other actor.

Catch Me If You Can was alright. Pretty forgettable but not awful.

The Aviator as a movie was fairly boring, but DiCaprio was excellent.

The Departed was the shtein.

Gilbert Grape was retarded.

Growing Pains had a character named Boner.

Just watched The Black Book, a sort of indie by the dude that did Basic Instinct and Showgirls.

Never heard of the chick, but she was naked a lot, and pretty shapely.  Story was supposedly true, and worked really well.

4/5
Anyone but Reid.

I thought that Catch Me if You Can was pretty damn good.  Especially if you ever have read any of the books buy the Frank Abergnale (sp?) dude is a friggin genius.  The Departed it doesn't get any better.

I watch Death Proof (the grindhouse flick). I thought it was just flat out retarded. All this knowing what the goal of the movie was.

It had at least an hour of completely and utterly useless dialog that tries to way to hard to be "edgy."

Nothing bothers me more in movies than a poorly used anachronism, this may have had the worse one I have ever seen. Nothing in this movie was made or show to be anything later than the mid to late 70's...yet one of the characters...out of no where pulls out a cell phone.

For a movie that was supposed to be "bad" or campy... it pretty much fails at everything except the final sequence...and Stuntman Mike's monologues and action scenes...but that's about 30 minues out of almost 2 hours.

I am very happy I did not see this in the theater.

its completely worthless to see death proof or planet terror on dvd...they were made to be a double feature and seen in the theater

even in that envireoment they werent all that great...but it was a cool 'event'...as a stand alone individual movie at home on dvd i have to imagine they are borderline unwatchable

I thought it was really well done and didn't get enough credit. Probably ranks as one of my 20 favorite films all time.

Aviator had some boring parts but overall was a good flick.

SunMo

i can't think of anything that was boring about Aviator

seeing someone go crazy is completely awesome

So which Grindhouse flick was meant to be watched first? I watched Planet Terror with no such knowledge. I thought it was ridiculously stupid and cheesy, yet this was sort of the point. So if you take it for what its worth, than I thought they did a great job. Its fun to not take movies so seriously every now and then. this was a perfect example of that kind of movie.

i didn't lke the aviator at all.
