2007 Phillies Playoff Thread

So I didn't miss too much being at school (to hell with all of you with jobs where you can "work from home!").  I checked the Gamecast before I went to my after-school programand it's 3-2 Phils and I'm happy.  I check it after my program, and it's 6-3 Rockies.  I get in my car, turn on my XM radio, and it's 10-3.  Oy.

Hopefully, it ends Saturday, because I'd hate to lose sleep Sunday night just to see them lose and be pissed off to start my week.

The Phillies are going to get swept, and the Eagles season is pretty much toast, and Reid and Manuel will be back. This kind of repetitive disappointment is really getting taxing.

Oh, and I have no idea where igy's getting his idea that Cholly is gone because of this series.  He's definitely back, in my opinion. 

Unless they have Girardi in their hip pocket.

they have to make a manager change and i think they will...they had a great year making the playoffs...now its time to take that next step...new manager new bullpen add a starter and win a playoff series or two next year...if this team sits on the feel good story of making the playoffs and does nothing then i will not buy a single ticket for them next year...

the problem is more than any other sport baseball fans are Hoydas and women and they will be so happy with the same exact team coming back next year...theres no fans i hate more than phillie only fans...the kind of fan that today was standing up cheering when a phillie drew a two out walk down 10-4...sickening

so really i have no reason to feel optimistic but i do for whatever reason...mostly because it isnt fathomable to me that a major league team would bring charlie back....even the phillies

Like I said, only if the Phils have Girardi in their hip pocket do I believe they will make a change.   That would be to give Cholly a "promotion" upstairs and higher Girardi as field manager.

And I do not think that the Phillies front office and ownership is capable of this maneuver.

Or do you want the Phils to fire Cholly and bring Davey Lopes or Jimy Williams managing next year?  Do you think they'd jettison Cholly to bring one of those up?  That sounds suspiciously more like "The Phillies Way."
