The Mets thought they had turned it around last week too when they won.  Look what happened.  Dontrelle will dominate the Mets, Phils will win, NL east champs.

i trust you

Haha might as well be somewhat optimistic.  Everytime I expect the worse with a Philadelphia team they lose, so there's no use in that.

Classic. IGY, you tried so hard to steer everyone away from getting excited and thinking this team was going to be different. Now you're all in again.

Going to hurt when Moyer gives it away tomorrow. I should have stayed away and just have been disappointed by the Birds. This sucks. What makes it even worse if they lose and the Mets win, is that the Mets total collapse which let the Phils get in this position will be all but forgotten.

choking. dogs. i might not make it through tomorrow if the phils lose/mets win, eagles lose, fantasy teams crumble....ill be done.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

From the Ft. Worth Star Telegram:

QuoteThree teams with same record: If New York, Philadelphia and either Colorado or San Diego finish with the same record, New York and Philadelphia would play a tiebreaker Monday at Philadelphia for the division title. The loser would play a wild-card tiebreaker Tuesday against Colorado or San Diego.

Four teams with same record: If four teams finish with the same record, New York and Philadelphia would play the NL East tiebreaker Monday; the loser would play a three-team, two-day, wild-card tiebreaker with Colorado and San Diego on Tuesday and Wednesday. In that scenario, the team with the best head-to-head record among the three teams in the wild-card tiebreaker would get the choice of having a bye on Tuesday or playing both games at home.

EDIT:  I had forgotten that Colorado was still in it.  If all four teams are still in it, it gets really interesting.

Rockies are gonna win tonight, so they are tied with the Mets and Phils, 1 back in the wild card. Things could be really interesting/fun/depressing tomorrow. My money is on depressing.

If the Mets, Phils, Padres, and Rockies are all tied up, the Mets come to Philly on Monday to decide the East, and the loser gets sucked into a three-team tourney for the wild card.

If the Phillies lost the East to the Mets in that game, they'd either play the first game at Colorado or San Diego on Tuesday -- the Rockies get to choose. If the Phils win Game 1, I think they would either host the Rockies or travel to San Diego for the second game on Wednesday. If they lose Game 1, they are out.

MDS

It's A B C scenario.

A hosts B, winner hosts C.

Rockies, Phillies, Padres get the choice in that order. So I would assume the Rockies would want the 1 game, so the Phillies would have a bunch of home games to choke it all away.  :-D
