Checking ESPN.com, it looks like Maine has a no-hitter through 5 innings?

Sgt PSN

At this point, I'm not concerned about what the Mets do.  Not because I don't think the Mets are capable of winning out but since the Phillies have the lead in the division they just need to win their last 2 games and it becomes irrelevant what the Mets do.

if the mets blow a 9-run lead today, i'll crap myself with laughter.

SunMo

haha, stupid Mets had a brawl today...they are falling apart
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Geowhizzer

That brawl could be just what the Mets needed to pull it back together.  That and a no-hitter by Maine.  I'm guessing that the Mets will win tomorrow as well.  Glavine it just too wiley, and Willis has absolutely sucked this season.

The Phils need to win out and make it a moot point.

They looked so much better today.  Like loose and the fans were into it.  That and they didnt have to use the bullpen when the game was remotely close.

But..
Willis is 5-0 at Shea.

Geowhizzer

Today looked more like the Mets from July and early August than the Mets we've seen the past two weeks.

With the monkey off their backs, and with Glavine going, they have all the reason in the world to be confident.

And Willis may be 5-0 at Shea, but he's 3-11 since June 1.  His ERA since the All-Star break is 5.81.

MDS

farg the Mets. David Wright's balls still haven't dropped and Reyes is a trashy Rican.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

 :-D

I think they'll lose today.

Speaking of Reyes, I got a kick out of him during the "brawl". He was pretending like he wanted to go after someone but that he was being held back by a coach...good job, Nancy.
