I love how HBO is burying this show against the NFL Playoffs/Superbowl.

Cause I'll be focused on an Eagles playoff run and getting immersed in the brilliance of The Wire will be second priority. Go team!

I saw 300 in the theater prior to ever watching one episode of the Wire, I'm rewatching it on DVD and can't place the actor when it hits me its Dominic West aka Mcnulty. Funny as shtein seeing him in this role as opposed to the drunken cop he nails flawlessly on the Wire.

season one has been on my ondemand for a while.  i need season 4.  when the f is it coming to either ondemand or dvd?

And that's not smoke - because the show doesn't need to be hyped anymore (this is the last season, the legacy is finished) but also because they've told me before quite honestly when something on the channel really stinks. As an aside, there's a good core at HBO. I know a lot of people want to count out the channel (and it certainly has had some missteps) but don't be surprised if, come January, HBO makes a huge comeback.

they didnt even shoot season 4 in hd, so no.
