Based on the way the Cardinals finished the regular season last year, I'd say the Mets are lining up nicely to win the World Series.

Of course, next year, Paul Lo Duca's going to get decapitated in a car wreck, David Wright's going to require major surgery, and Jose Reyes is going to be paralyzed in a tragic waterskiing accident.

i honestly dont think the mets care about not making the playoffs...they know now they have no chance at even making the world series...and not winning the world series is the same as not making the playoffs to them

their season is down the tubes and they know it...all they have to fall back on now is beating out the phillies
