Man...I'm watching the replay, and I don't think I've ever seen McNabb throw a prettier pass than the one he threw to Schobel.

That was the best play in the history of preseason football.

HAA!!

Thats a good way of putting it in a better perspective. I can't help but get fired up when I see the kind of shtein.

I'll try to calm down, at least until they are 12 and 4.

Damnit, why's Diggler out there pretending he's a decent punter??!?
Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No pro bowl WR's.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Retarded special teams.  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  "I've got to do a better job."  Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  Running game shines for 3 plays. Pass. Pass. Pass. PUNT.  No adjustments anywhere.  Pass.  Pass. Pass. PUNT.  (repeat)

but injuries and/or farg-ups could hold them back.

im not sure what "farg-ups" means but please dont throw out the injury excuse...ever...much less before it even happens...its the age old crutch for philly not having won any championships in a quarter century and frankly im sick of it

i think hes being facetious on my behalf cause im a "hater"

but truth be told i think this team can win the superbowl this year...i think a lot has to go right...and i think the coaching staff has a blind faith/god complex issue with a few too many positions....but if they are right and im wrong which is certainly possible then they can win a ring..."you gotta believe"

Holy Christ you're drunk.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Huh, that ain't drunk. Now.......what I was last night........that was drunk. A pound of shrimp, don't know how many clams........and about 15 Buds and it feels like I'm crapping straight Old Bay this morning.

Really though, after looking at the stat sheet, I see that we had 31 rushing attempts, and 35 pass attempts. Three of those rushing attempts were Kolb's and 1 was Feeley's. So in reality, we had 27 rushes to 35 passes.

That ain't good and I hope it's just attributed to Reid wanting to get McNabb back comfortable and a good look at Kolb in the pre-season.

Diomedes

Look, Reid is mentally handicapped.  He's going to call way too many pass plays.  That's just the way it is.  I hate it, but I am now resigned to the fact.  He's also constitutionally incapable of running a game efficiently; he wastes time outs like they're going out of style and can't call a play into the huddle in less than 20 seconds.

He's also fat as farg, a zesty parent, and a goddamned Mormon.

Other than that, he's great.

I was disillusioned with the thought that MM would be calling the plays this year.

Another thing is, after seeing how good Dmac looked, Fatass probably again has a raging hard on for him and the pass.

Yeah, you'd think after 8 years people would realize that we will never be a rushing team.  Air Mormon is going to be bombs away for as long as he's here.

He's like the alcoholic who goes to the bar to only have a few, then once he gets the few he goes on to get shteinfaced. I believe Reid wants to run the ball more but once game time rolls around he's like the alcoholic with the passing game.

Diomedes

I can almost resign myself to his passing problem without going into fits of rage.  It's the game management that most infuriates me...I'll never accept his inability to avoid using timeouts in the first and third quarter, or his refusal to put a priority on making play calls quickly.

And having derailed this thread, that's the last I'll say on the subject here.

im not sure what "farg-ups" means

farg-ups are like punting the ball away in a playoff game when there's not enough time to get the ball back, or slowly marching down the field near the end of the Super Bowl when you need two scores.

Rome

For someone who is so plodding and meticulous in his planning, it's never ceased to amaze me how utterly unprepared Reid can be when faced with changing circumstances in a game situation.

You'd think he'd think and re-think every possible contingency, but it never fails - he always seems to come up short when faced with scenarios that don't go along with the pre-arranged plan.

Very strange and maddening.

ice grillin you

if its true that morningwheg is taking over the play calling then hopefully that will free up reid to concentrate on in game coaching more...it may allow him to run thru these different scenarios youre talking about romey and make the better decisions....he also may be able to better in game adjust as he will see things on the field more with his face not forever in that play card
