american pie and wedding crashers are both fantastic...im just sick of these same movies coming out and the 20 year old sheeples in america proclaiming it a classic two hours after its released...mostly overhyping it because theyve seen it and you havent so it has to be 100 times better than it really is

if you take the approx 20 hours of film time from the last 10 of these comedies what you get is about four or five hours of jokes...which leaves 16 hours of douchebags like will ferrel reminding you how funny people like chevy chase really were
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

chevy chase sucks...he bottled lightening twice, stop it

you speaking about comedy is like Jerry Fallwell speaking about hip hop

I have to disagree about Chase only hitting homers twice, Mo.

I can think of a half dozen movies of his that are outright classics.

1. Caddyshack
2. Vacation
3. Fletch
4. Modern Problems
5. Deal of the Century
6. Foul Play

The first three should be on anyone's list as five-star comedies.  Modern Problems & Deal of the Century are personal favorites of mine where I thought he was excellent and Foul Play made him a superstar even though it was technically a Goldie Hawn joint and it was Dudley Moore's breakout film.

vacation - great
caddy shack - classic
fletch - classic
foul play - great
seems like old times - classic

what else am i missing?

but of course hes made some slop too (tho his first five minutes on screen in any one of his movies is better than wil ferrel or steve carrells whole life)

which is my point...not every comedy is a new age classic for the mommy lets go to ikea and get me a sock holder set...perhaps go see the movie sit on it for a while then proclaim its greatness...most likely its not gonna be what these kids portray it as

stop the madness

IGY's opinions on comedy are irrelevant, he's stated countless times he hates the genre, why he even comments on them is beyond me

no funny farm?

Ha.  Awful movie.  I liked the girl in it, though.  There's a mother at my kid's school who looks exactly like her.  It's spooky, really.

ice grillin you

funny farm is not the best movie but its certainly not awful...if nothing else it showcases chevys greatness as he single handedly carries a movie that has no plot and weak writing

I watched Fracture while flying home from Cancun the other day. While it wasn't great, it was better than I expected. Terrificly typical Anthony Hopkins vehicle.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
