Displaced

I don't know how many in here are watching the training camp live shows but since I won't make it to camp this year I have been all in it.

Anyway Phreak I caught your Eagles network premier and you acquitted yourself well.  I mised Murp somehow but you did a great job.

Just wanted to add this little nugget to the discussion.

On one play in the "live" drill, ones (offense) against twos (defense) the offense ran that nice play where they fake the handoff to the right and flip it out to the left to Westy.  Usually this play is worth at least four or five yards just because of Westy's athleticism.

Well not this time.

Trent Cole was on the right side of the D-line and not only did he immediately diagnose the play but got to the outside so quickly Westy had no choice but to try and cut back on him.  I am thinking well this DE (couldn't tell it was Cole first time I saw it) is in no man's land and Westy is about to make him look bad.  My only hope was that the guy wouldn't injure himself trying to tackle Westy in the open field.   Then something happened I did not expect.  The DE took Westy down, alone on an island.

Cole has to be the most agile DE the Eagles have had in some time including the Freak.

Dude is amazing.

Guess who?

QuoteJevon Kearse looks great. I heard a fan moan at practice on Friday afternoon that Kearse looks "skinny," but that is a bum rap. Now that the story has taken a life of its own, fans who don't educate themselves just follow the headlines. Kearse looks like he looked last year and the year before.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

From what I'm hearing on the radio Bloom is standing out at WR.

That's impossible.  He's white.

That's how he's standing out.  Like a sore thumb.

Sorry I missed you there, IGY. I was there yesterday (Saturday) morning. That place is totally nuts anymore.

I'm really wondering about Bloom. Dude has some quick moves, but the WR field is pretty full, and somehow I think the only way he makes the roster is via special teams.

ice grillin you

yeah i was looking for you sus...not sure how i missed your big ass but i did

just got back from a really long morning practice

some thoughts

bunkley is an absolute freak of nature...his body is ripped to shreds...he seriously looks better than any linebacker...to be honest i wonder if he isnt to small to play tackle...to see him and patterson next to each other is comedy

abarimani - i wasnt a big fan of his at notre dame and to be honest what ive seen so far this weekend has confirmed what i believe to be true...like phreak said great size but he just doesnt have any explosiveness or quickness at all...reminds me of darwin walker when he would move outside...to me he could be a valuable reserve down the road...comes in an injury situation and a guy like darwin was a few years back who could play a little inside and a little outside but isnt especially good at either...

nate llaoa - sorry don but i cant see this guy making the team...has none of the "quicknessm for a big guy" that some of his college tape showed...at this level i just dont see that speed and in the goal line situations of which they have run many the last two days i dont even see much power from him...i was looking for a little bowling bowl bouncing off people into the end zone and that just wasnt there

stewart bradley - is way lost out there but i think jj loves him as he is constantly on him...much more so than any other player..to me it was jj thinking highly of bradley as opposed to bradley farging up

kevin curtis - the star of todays session...had an amazing end zone catch where he tip toed the back line and smashed into the goal post...the whole team went nuts...after the play as avant was coming back to the sideline he says "that boy is CRAZY"...curtis also caught a beautiful 60 yard td pass from mcnabb

speaking of avant his hands are fabulous...not as good as derrick faulkners tho who over the last two days imo clearly has the best hands on the team

gocong is much more toned up this year...not nearly as doughy...i still dont like the way he moved and hus pursuit is weak...i dont see him running with te's ever or running down any backs...but i hope im wrong

spikes and trotter are absolutely out of their minds...they are gonna be special this year

westbrook wasnt out there this morning...it may have been posted ont he board already as to why but im out of the loop up here so i apologize if im behind...didnt see dawk either...and no lito

darren howard runs with a big knee brace on...it must effect him to because he was terrible out there

cobb is brutal right now...his delivery needs to be worked on imo..he throws to low and needs to come over the top more...a lot of times looks like he side arming it

trent cole is possesed...he ate tra thomas for lunch both days in the one on ones

donovans looks sharp with the throws but is not moving very well imo...id be not shocked but surprised if he plays at all in baltimore

i dont know about chad johnson but phreak may be closer to right than wrong about reggie brown...he looks fantastic and is primed for a breakout season this year if the ball doesnt get spread around to much

tony hunt was underwhelming...had a couple bad fumbles..andy was all in his shtein after todays blunder at the goal line

hank baskett dropped an easy touchdown today and proceeded to do 25 push ups in the end zone after it...crowd loved it

winston justice the good: hes really beefed up this year...much thicker and in a good way
winston justice the bad: kid gets beat a lot

lj smith was out there looking good...seemed fully healed to me...tho hes not taking hits yet...how this guy isnt a star is beyond me

all reports on considine are true...hes definitely bigger this year...just hope he can run with guys

ill post some pics later...

Quote10:21 AM: The 11-on-11 part of practice ends with Kevin Kolb completing a screen pass to Nate Ilaoa, who navigates his way around the defense and takes off down the sidelines. Ilaoa caught a lot of passes out of the backfield in Hawaii, and it looks as though that is how he can be best used in this system. The horn blows and the team moves into some special teams to end practice.

Probably not. Westbrook, Buckhalter and Hunt looks to be it.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Good stuff IGY.  Appreciate it.  :yay
