As long as we have McRoberts so igy's head explodes, I'm good.

did we get him though? I can't find it and they didn't report it on tv

ESPN took the McRoberts thing away

SD_Eagle5

so we got the Ukraine guy and Byars? No Mcbob?

I would've preferred Thornton over Young, but Young has more upside and is younger and has a better shot. Overall I really like the draft.

Young, Smith, Byars, and a big euro to develop = win
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

As of now, we have Young, Smith, Fesenko and Byars

I wanted Thornton because he was strong inside and is relentless, but he's going to be 24 and Young is a freshman in college. It is hard to really argue with what the Sixers did. Young really impressed the Sixers, and Dei Lynam has said all week that they love him, and said today she thinks they will take him.

Dei Lynam knows her shtein.

Rotoworld is killing our draft, but I really like it.

I think the Bucks are in hard spot with Yi.  I think the Chinese government might say that he can't play for them.  Remember when Orlando drafted Fran Vasquez at 11, and he decided to never come over.  What if China refuses to let Yi come and play for the Bucks.  BK is in love with Yi, so maybe something with Thad Young + fillers could work, if China forces the Bucks hand..

either way, with Thad Young, Byars, and Carney, we found our future running mate for Iguodala.  Jason Smith should be a good roleplayer, and the Ukranian guy is a good prospect.  Overall, I give this draft a B+.

The BIGSTUD

Rotoworld likes the J-Rich deal for the Bobcats. Nothing more needs to be said.

Quote from Rotoworld:

QuoteIn the first surprise of the night for RotoWorld, the Sixers took Georgia Tech forward Thaddeus Young with the 12th pick.
This came as a surprise, as it really looked like the Sixers would take Al Thornton here. Then again, Young is as clean as they come, and it could be that Billy Knight wanted to get a good egg in the mix before he finishes out the first round with controversial picks Sean Williams and Glen Davis. Young is not likely to have fantasy value in the upcoming seaseon, especially given the fact he'll likely be playing behind Andre Iguodala.

Well they mistaked them with Atlanta's gm... that's pretty bad.

Knig is a misspelling.

Knight means that have no idea what the dude's name is.

i just got home and i can't tell what going on.

i'm cool with young.  wanted thornton but i guess this dude's like 5 years younger.

what did we do with portland to get byars?

and then we have this ukraine dude?  just those 3 guys?

bowzer

Most mocks had Byars going top 20.

We traded our 30th pick, Koponen... for cash and Portland's 2nd round pick... Byars.

7'0" PF whitey Jason Smith from Colorado State too.....4 guys.  Daequan Cook was drafted at #21 and swapped with a 2009 2nd-rd pick to Miami for Smith
