Season Ticket Waiting List?

This is the specific problem that crabby needs to focus on instead of pursuing his Razor Gator conspiracy theory. It's the people scalping the tickets, not the tool they are using to do it.

Its actually niether.  Its the fact that the Eagles not only condone it but facilitate it and act like it isn't happening.

I have nothing against RazorGator or scalpers, I buy and sell all the time.

My problem is the Eagles allowing to occur at the expense of EAGLES fans.

I need to go out and have my cape cleaned and pressed.  You all have a nice day.

the only thing that matters at all right now is that if the eagles wanted to they could starting today take the tickets away of anyone found to be scalping...they simply are choosing not to do it...we can all come up with our own reasons as to why...an every one of those reasons would be irrelevant

last year a guy that was sitting in one of my seats was apparently seen smoking...the only reason i know this is because about two weeks after the game i got a letter at home threating to take away all seven of my season tickets if it happened again...no questions asked

im sure thats one of the many reasons they can revoke tickets on the spot and they seem to be dilligent in enforcing those transgressions...why in hell are they not doing so with ticket scalpers on their own partner site (or anywhere else where the gulity can easily be caught)

if there were no waiting list...if this were ten eyars ago and the eagles were getting saved from being blacked out by car dealerships buying tickets up then this wouldnt be an issue

but the reason this angers me to no end can be summed up in the paper today by joe banner:

we are so great
we are the gold standard
dont worry about a waiting list and where you might be on it
cause guess what
youre not getting tickets anyway
and either is your great great grandson

Please read the posts, or have a friend read them to you.  There is no anti-scalping rhetoric.  The topic is the Eagles profitting off of its fans by allowing scalping to go unchecked and most probably profitting from it.

What are you talking about?  A scalping agency gets 100s, maybe 1000s of tickets given to them.  And you think they don't sell them (remember they sell tickets as a business), but instead fly 100s of people from California where they are based and make every Eagles game.

Your statement stands but is absurd.  Can you prove they don't?  which is more realistic?

absolutely...i could care less about razorgator...but what makes it worse is that im not asking the eagles to hire private investigators and go after undescript random inquirer classified adds for tickets...

all they have to do is pull up the website of their business partner and two keystrokes later they can find out everyhting they need to know

The Jets waiting list is the best in the business.  They charge to be on it, but everyone has a number.  A waiting list without numbers is not a waiting list.

I've already wasted too much time on this.

I basically agreed with what you said, the issue is who is scalping them & the Eagles lack of desire to police them.  That's it.

All that Razorgator advertising bullshtein is only a very small part of the main issue & does not address the root problem, which is people/businesses buying large blocks of seats with the express intent of reselling them.

Scalping by licensed agents is legal & if the Eagles want to grab some of their ad dollars, fine. If their relation goes beyond that, which it hasn't been proven otherwise, then that's a separate problem.

Address/police the people who only buy to resell & everything else settles after that.

We are talking about the amount of tickets given to RG by the Eagles as an advertising partner, supposedly the same as any advertising partner. What are you talking about?

Once again, you're an empty suit. You make emotional claims based on only your biased assumptions & pass it off as fact. Find out how many they get & we'll talk further. Until then you're no more credible than someone trying to prove a government conspiracy to cover up UFOs.

Come on, I know you work for a somewhat big company & aren't ignorant to common business practices. So if a company gets tickets for being an ad partner, they only give them to the people that work at their corp office? I know you're not that naive. One of the main purposes for any company to obtain seats is to entertain clients of their own, reward key vendor partners & their own key employees. They don't get seats to award Bob the copy guy because he cleans the coffee pot everyday.

this has easily turned into the worst thread i've ever seen.

i think everyone for the most part agrees with each other yet somehow everyone is arguing about everything.

shtein, i don't have the time to dedicate to crusading against the eagles ticket scalping rules, i like to spend my free time doing something fun, but if crabby does good for him.  it may even help me out someday, as i've been on the "list" since 2001.

Cool, I've actually enjoyed our exchange.  I think we are pretty much on the same side.  And like I said I will give all of the people who care a heads up when stories are about to be done.  Together the Eagles fans can force the Eagles oganization to do what's right.  Even though with the arogance they operate with it may take a few losing seasons for them to crack.

If responding to personal attacks makes me a jack ass, so be it.  You are willing to let me fight the good fight for you, but still want to call me names.  Interesting personality flaw, I think.

I am not doing any of this for all of the morons that either don't undestand the issue, don't care about the issue or simply just like o build up post numbers with stupid attacks.  I am doing it because its the right thing to do.  More local Eagles fans in the stadium, not being raped for the tickets.  Simple.

Remember the end of the 2005 seaon, empty seats all over the place.  Lots of Skins and Giants fans in the other seats.  That is the future.  Once the Eagles come down off the winning cycle and hit the inevitable down cycle, the problem will become much more obvious.
