FYI - the movie bombed right out of the gate....coming in fourth last night behind blades of glory... meet the robinson....are we done yet...

the problem is for a movie like this...the people on the fringes either see it right away or wait for dvd...the hardcores... tarantino nuts  film geeks genre fans will be there on opening day....and if you combine both the hardcores and the fringes get fourth place with a $15 mil weekend on a nearly $70 million film youre in a world of pain

dropoffs of 50% for next weekend can be expected....

this is snakes on a plane all over again...only this time the weinsteins are losing on their two biggest guns tarantino and rodriguez....not good at all

well maybe not 50% but a movie like this doesnt do better as it goes along...even 300 had a 50%+ dropoff...but it went from 70 to 30...grindhouse should go down below 10 next weekend (if projections of 15 mil are correct after what happened last night (i suppose its possible it could have a huge day today)...i wouldnt count on it tho

I think I've decided that it is my favorite movie ever. Definately watch it soon.
