saw blades of glory today.  meh.  the funniest parts are in the commercials.  ok for a few laughs, but not one of will ferrell's best.  best part of the movie is that pam from the office is in it and she looks hot, dresses up really slutty for a scene too.  definitely worth renting but not a must see by any means.

That's the same thing that could be said about the last several movies Ferrell has put out with the exception of Stranger Than Fiction.

Ferrell's a one trick pony when it comes to comedy.  It was funny for the first 10 years or so but now it's just boring.

Agreed.  He seems to be a fad that has run it's course, just like disco dancing and Rubik's Cube.

He's run his course with those of us who have been around a while but his brand of comedy is still very appealling to the teenage/early 20's demographic.  They think he's brilliant.

Anchorman was hysterical. Other than that, it's been the same act he pulled on SNL. Which isn't funny anymore. He should go back to sketch comedy or host a Late Night show. Doing ridiculous characters and improvising stupid stuff is what he's best at.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Anchorman was funny but far from hysterical.  Of course, you fall into the teenage/early 20's demographic that I was talking about, so there ya go.

Sorry? Outside of Anchorman, I didn't like anything else he's done. I'm not gonna see Blades of Glory until the DVDrip is online. Stranger than Fiction has been getting positive reviews from the degenerates on this board, so I figure it's worth a look.

Stranger Than Fiction is outside the box for Ferrell and I'll probably check it out too because it does look pretty good.  I wouldn't mind seeing him broaden himself as an actor because I think he has a lot more talent than what we've seen from him.

I also find it hard to believe that Anchorman is the only Will Ferrell movie that you like.  That's just a bunch of poppycock.

I just sprouted a huge Office boner.

She's cute and hit it.  But she's not overly impressive.

Umm..Talladega Nights was garbage. Elf was probably shtein, but I didn't see it. Same for Kicking and Screaming and Bewitched. Old School and Zoolander were both funny, but he wasn't the star of those movies. So, obviously, he's been in other funny movies. But when he's been the lead, Anchorman was the only one that was any good.

Night at the Roxbury was hilarious when it first came out.

Haven't seen Talladega Nights or Elf, but that's because neither one of them appealled to me.  I'll concede the point of Ferrell being funny in movies where he wasn't the lead though, which is probably a lot more than when he was.  I should have known better than to start arguing with a Jew about Hollywood movies.  It's one of the few areas where you're at a distinct advantage.
