Its a movie you want to watch parked in a car i heard
"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

"Rocky Balboa"

Good final chapter to the story.  3.5/5.

Father Demon

Watched The Departed last night.  Great acting, great story line.  I thought the ending was a let down, and a cheap way to get out of a twisted story line.  It didn't ruin it for me, but it knocked it down from 4/5 to 3.5/5.

Plus, I was getting tired of the forced Boston accents.

One thing I'll say, that I never thought I would, is Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg have both become very solid actors.  Even Matt Damon was good, and the only thing he's done since Dogma that I have liked him in was Ocean's Eleven.
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Conan the Barbarian was on AMC last night. What an awesomely bad movie. The acting was so bad it was great and the script was just horrible and laughable. Amazing what we thought was good back in the day.

Gerry Lopez is a better actor than he is a legendary surfer.

watched Catch a Fire today.  pretty good movie even with Tim Robbins' horrible African accent throughout the whole thing.

This might be the most inaccurate thing anyone has ever said.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Any movie that features James Earl Jones as a shape-shifting homosapien/reptile automatically earns classic status.

classic is a perfect description of conan....anyone that would say conan isnt a great movie is the same kind of person who would say that terminator 2 is better than the og

T1 > T2 because Arnold was a badass and Sarah Connor wasn't.   I hated Linda Hamilton in T2.  She looked like one of those freaky looking triathlete dykes who shtein themselves rather than stopping off at a port-a-potty during the race.

There were other reasons, of course, but that's what it boils down to for me, anyway.

Conan IS a classic. But it is FAR from a good movie. In fact, it's the exact opposite.

t1 was great because the story was so good and had a highly original concept...it made you think...the second is all special effects and crash scenes...it made you say damn how did they do that

one is a movie one is an action picture

the first one probably is in my all-time top 20 movies...i love it

So it's not "Citizen Kane."  Who gives a farg?

It's still a hella enjoyable movie even if everyone involved in making it were rank amateurs.

I forgot to mention that I watched "The Thin Man" the other night for about the 50th time.

Movies like that exceed ratings.  It's so excellent that any rating I would give it wouldn't do it justice.  Just see it.  A lot.
