The whole deal didn't make a lot of sense.  Schaub's perceived value was much bigger than his real value, and he's about to prove that.  Whatever.  I only don't like it because it helps an NFC team more than the AFC team.

It only helps the Falcons if they don't screw up the draft like usual...

i think Carr will pan out.  He's had no protection since he's been there. 

I feel bad for Carr.  Seems like a good kid.  It's a shame that Houston has made absolutely no attempt at all to put anything even close to resembling an o-line in front of him.  He's got hella arm strength and is pretty accurate with the ball when he does get some protection.  The only reason Schaub would work out there is becaue he has a little mobility to him.  But not enough to compensate for shoddy protection imo.

The funniest part about this is the Falcons just traded their best QB. They are really locked into Vick now.

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports the Houston Texans have signed restricted free-agent QB Matt Schaub to a six-year contract worth $48 million with $7 million guaranteed. Schaub will receive $20 million in the first three years. If Schaub stays with the team the last three years of the contract, the Texans will have to pay Schaub a $10 million option bonus in 2010. The Texans paid QB David Carr an $8 million option in 2006 to keep him for the last three years of his contract.

ESPNews reports Houston Texans general manager Rick Smith said that QB David Carr will be traded as soon as Thursday, March 22.

The Dolphins are the only rumored trade partner of which I've heard.
